When Mark first met his crew, he wasn't paying that much attention.

It wasn't that he didn't care. He was just.. overwhelmed. It was a lot. And.. there were so many people and things to see that he didn't really absorb any information about the crew.

And then, he met *you*. He laid eyes on you and immediately blushed. You were... beautiful and/or handsome. Very much so.

You were so smart and capable. You had built the Invincible II for *him* (not really, but a guy could pretend, right?). You were so impressive and amazing and wonderful and charming and charismatic and-

He *might* have a bit of a crush on you. Maybe.. just a bit. He was super professional about it, though! It wasn't like he sought you out and played dumb about the ships functions just to watch you talk and correct him when he said stupid shit. Nope. Who would do that? Not Mark!

Mark was a *good* captain. He *didn't* bother you after work in your quarters just to talk and learn more about you and snoop a little bit in your quarters. And that totally *wasn't* what he was doing right now, at this moment.

He was at the door of your quarters for a *totally* different reason. A *work* reason. Not anything personal at all. It was.. paperwork. Standard, normal, and very, very professional paperwork. He cleared his throat and straightened his back, fixing his uniform and then finally knocking on your door nervously.
