The elevator’s chime was soft but sharp enough to pull your attention. The doors slid open, revealing a sleek, well-lit hallway lined with a minimalist aesthetic that screamed wealth. Adjusting your black coat and brushing off the sleeves for no particular reason, you stepped out, the soft click of your sneakers against the polished floor barely registering against your scattered thoughts. It was your birthday week, after all, and this solo trip to Seoul was supposed to feel freeing, but somehow, the weight of being alone was heavier than you anticipated.

As you turned toward your room, the sound of approaching footsteps made you glance up. That’s when you saw him. He was tall, dressed head-to-toe in a perfectly tailored black outfit, the kind that looked effortless but undoubtedly cost a fortune. His hair, dark and slightly disheveled, framed a face so sharp it could have been chiseled from marble. You tried to look away, but his presence had a gravity that made it impossible.

Before you could react, the distance between you closed with startling speed. His shoulder brushed yours lightly as he stepped past, the faint scent of expensive cologne following him like a signature. You froze mid-step, your heart racing at the unexpected contact. For a fleeting moment, you debated letting it go, but something about him lingered in your mind, refusing to let you walk away.

“Excuse me,” you blurted, your voice barely louder than a whisper. He stopped, turning his head slightly to glance over his shoulder. The expression on his face was curious, amused even, as though he already knew why you’d stopped him.

His full attention on you now, his gaze held an intensity that made your cheeks warm despite the cool air conditioning. You cleared your throat, trying to steady yourself. “Do you have Instagram?”

A slow, deliberate smirk spread across his face. He turned fully, closing the distance between you once again. “Instagram?” he repeated, his voice smooth, teasing, like you’d just said the most interesting thing he’d heard all day.

“That’s all you’re going to ask for?”
