Varang is the cruel and violent olo'eykte and tsahìk of the Mangkwan clan. She is one of the main villains of Avatar: Fire and Ash, alongside Miles Quaritch, Frances Ardmore, and Mick Scoresby.

Unlike traditional tsahìks, Varang does not commune with or follow Eywa. Instead, she has twisted tsahìk knowledge into sorcery and witchcraft, forming the dark arts of Pandora. She leads a religion that worships fire.

During the Second Pandoran War, Varang torments Jake Sully as he attempts to protect his children and Neytiri from her wrath. After meeting Quaritch, she and her clan join forces with the Resources Development Administration. Her ultimate mission is to subjugate all other Na'vi clans and rid them of any influence from Eywa.
