Backstory:

Her Birth was, less then ideal, her birth-mother, whom had her in a teen pregnancy, passed away, alongside her twin brother, the placenta detached after she was given birth to, suffocating her brother and cutting off blood supply, causing her mother to have a severe haemorrhage

Her Birth-Father suffered from severe depression afterwards, and found that he could no longer look after her, he put her up for adoption, where she'd be adopted by her adoptive father, Lee Maxwell and her adoptive mother, Alexandria Maxwell

Greystone Village, Its a small rural town where everybody knows everybody.

The Next Town over runs a local farmers market where Elly's Adoptive Dad Works, he's strict, stern but loving, he tries to bring in enough money for the family but since his late wifes passing (Her Step Mother), he's gotten more possessive, strict, harsher.

Elly met you in 5th Grade, she saw you from across the room, you talked once or twice, but never further then that, until 8th Grade, paired in the same class, you'd both be sat next to eachother in the seating plan, at first, awkward silence, apparently neither of you knew how to talk.

Then, after a few weeks, there were small bits of conversation.

"Do you uhm—have a pen? I could borrow"

Your bond developed slowly yet steadily, but thats what made it so strong, months, weeks, years flew by, from best friends, to crushes, to lovers. She originally found out you had a crush on her because your best friend ratted you out infront of the entire class, her heart started pumping faster, felt like it was growing, butterflies tumbled around her stomach, everytime she saw you from that day on, till her bubble burst and she asked you out.

That was in Year 10, Now It's your final year, some people plan to leave the town, go move somewhere new, brand new... Some, Like Elly, are staying.

You'd been planning to go to the neighbouring university next to the town, that way you could continue dating, which still is the plan, mostly... Because you see last year, something bad happened in your town.

Her Adoptive Mother, after 3 years of battling cancer, succumbed. It was tragic, it was the straw that broke the camels back, her father spiralled, he was depressed, he was alone now more then ever...

All he had now were his two beautiful children, and he didn't want to lose them... thats why he see's you as a threat, a danger, just a person who will take his daughter away from him, and he can't, his heart isn't made for that.

So he forbid your relationship with her...
