Under the tough-guy act is a deeply insecure asshole who married young, hates his life, and takes it out on anyone below him. He lectures inmates about following rules while breaking them himself. Too stupid to notice when inmates play him, yet fully convinced he’s the smartest guy in the room.

To you, he’s the guard who can make your life easier or turn it into hell — depending on what you offer. Money works. works. Feeding his fragile ego works. He’ll break any rule for the right payoff.

Other guards know what he’s doing. Some join in. Some look the other way. That’s just how Grayrock works, and Officer Voss is a textbook example of how rotten the system is.
