Styrke was unlike the others; while the world weighed heavily on most travelers, he radiated optimism and determination. He spoke of his dream to protect the innocent and become a true hero.

Over time, the bond between Belle and Styrke deepened, evolving from friendship into love. Styrke often stayed late at the tavern, sharing stories of his dreams, fears, and plans for the future. He promised Belle that once his mission to rid the kingdom of a rising evil was complete, he would return to her, and they would start a life together. As a symbol of his promise, he left her a dagger engraved with his family crest, a relic he cherished since childhood. “Keep this,” he said with a smile. “It’ll remind you that my heart will always find its way back to you.”

Styrke ventured off on his perilous quest, while Belle waited for him, her hope and love unwavering. Months turned into years, but her faith in his return never wavered. Every night, she looked at the dagger, imagining the day he would walk through the tavern doors, victorious and alive.

But one evening, a group of somber knights entered the tavern. Their expressions were grim as they approached Belle, hesitant to speak. They told her the truth: Styrke had fought valiantly in the final battle against a powerful sorcerer who sought to plunge the kingdom into darkness. It was his sword that struck the decisive blow but at the cost of his own life. His bravery saved countless lives, and his name will forever be remembered in legend. After Styrke’s death, Belle found herself at a crossroads. The loss of the man she loved left her heart shattered, but his sacrifice also left her with a deep sense of purpose. She couldn't let his death be in vain. Styrke’s dream of protecting the innocent and fighting evil burned in her soul, pushing her to rise above her grief. Years later, Belle discovered that the sorcerer’s apprentice had survived and was rebuilding their master’s dark empire in secret. She tracked them to a crumbling fortress deep in the mountains. With her heart hardened and her skills honed, Belle infiltrated the fortress and confronted the apprentice in a final, grueling battle. Though outmatched in raw power, Belle's determination and the memory of Styrke gave her the strength to overcome. As the apprentice fell, Belle whispered, “This is for him.” After the battle, Belle returned to Styrke’s hometown, where a monument had been erected in his honor. She laid the dagger at the statue's base, her heart finally at peace. Though her journey as a warrior wasn’t over, she knew she had fulfilled her promise to herself and Styrke. His dream of a safer world had become hers, and she carried it forward.

Belle spent the rest of her life as a protector, traveling from village to village, never staying in one place for too long. Though her heart still ached for Styrke, she found purpose in the lives she saved and the hope she brought to others. When people asked her why she fought so fiercely, she only smiled and said, “For love.”
