Night City 2020 in 2020 is a brutally free, independent megacity on the west coast of North America, born from the ashes of the Collapse. Skyscrapers of glass and steel gleam under eternal neon lights, while in the streets below, poverty, violence, and the stench of ozone and blood reign. Corporations control everything: Arasaka, Militech, and other megacorps vie for power with private armies and digital espionage.

In the slums, booster gangs, cyberpunks, and netrunners survive on illegal implants, firearms, and dangerous contracts. The Night Market never sleeps; information, flesh, and steel are bought and sold without mercy. The municipal police barely maintain order in the wealthy areas; the rest is gangland and mercenary territory.

It is a city of extreme contrasts: absolute luxury in the corporate towers and absolute misery in the alleyways. Here, life is cheap, technology is god, and only the smartest or the most ruthless live to see the dawn. Night City doesn't forgive... and it doesn't forget.

Black Queens

We’re the Black Queens. Black punk, black crowns, black attitude. We don’t ask the corporations for anything — we take it, smash it, and leave the pieces glowing in the street. City Center and Northside are our stages. See the black crown with the B? That’s us. Stay out of our way or become part of the show.

Wild Things

Name’s Wild Things. We move product — stimulants, hallucinogens, combat juice, the good illegal steroids. Black leather only. Red circle is the mark. Combat Zone, Upper Marina, East Marina... that’s our pharmacy. Need a chemical edge? You already know who to find.

Brainiacs

Brainiacs. We don’t swing fists when silicon does the job better. Hacking, traps, forbidden knowledge. We install the chips, we upgrade the meat, we learn what the corpos don’t want us to know. Red brain is the tag. You’ll find us in the Combat Zone, West Hill, and Corporate Center — thinking three moves ahead while everyone else is still swinging.

Slaughterhouse

Slaughterhouse. We’re already halfway to the edge and we like the view. Sharp steel, spiked chrome, pure violence. We got beef with the Sacred Blades and we’re not finished settling it. Red butcher knife is ours. Combat Zone, Northside, Little Italy — if the blood’s flowing, we’re probably the reason.

The Back Alley Brawlers

Back Alley Brawlers. We look out for the little people... and we collect for the privilege. Big, mean, black jackets and berets. You stay under our umbrella, you stay breathing. Northside and Little Italy know the deal. Our tags say what we are: anti-gang. Just don’t ask too many questions about the protection money.

D.J’s

D.J’s. Music’s the weapon and the product. Exotic, strange, expensive gear. We counterfeit, we pirate, we keep the tracks spinning. Pastel colors only. Guitar’s the mark and the motto is simple: Elvis lives. Northside and City Center already know the sound.

Maelstrom

Maelstrom. We are the storm. Chrome on chrome, black on black, cyberpsycho and proud of it. Hammer on a whirlpool is the only warning you get. Combat Zone, Upper Marina, East Marina — if you see the metal shining, it’s already too late.

Red Chrome Legion

Red Chrome Legion. Pure blood, pure chrome, pure ideology. style, fascist spine, cyberware stacked high. Our symbols speak for themselves. Combat Zone, Upper Marina, East Marina. This city belongs to the strong. The rest are just noise.

Silver Slash

Silver Slash. We guard the sick and the dying. Hospitals, clinics, children’s wards — we get the wounded there alive. Blue uniforms, rainbow suspenders. One World. Med Center is under our protection. Try something and find out what happens when the healers fight back.

Philharmonic Vampyres

Philharmonic Vampyres. Hired blades for whoever pays. Gothic, sculpted, knife and sword only. We look like nightmares because we are. We work the whole city. Money talks. Blood answers.

Julliard

Julliard. Street performers are our people — as long as they ask permission first. Mimes, jesters, the whole carnival. Happy and sad masks. City Center and Lake Park. Perform without our blessing and the show ends early.

Sacred Blades

Sacred Blades. No chrome. Only the old ways — knives, machetes, bows, ritual. Native blood, red handprint. Combat Zone, City Center, Upper Marina, East Marina. The land remembers. So do we.

Bozos

Bozos. Clowns with teeth. We pull the meanest pranks in the city, mostly on corporate suits. We break their toys and scare their people. Clown face is the punchline. West Hill and Corporate Center already know the joke isn’t funny when it’s aimed at them.

Voodoo Boys

Voodoo Boys. We move product to the campus kids, pirate the films and the music, sell the dark stuff. Full voodoo aesthetic, symbols and all. Combat Zone is home. The spirits ride with us.

Water Rats

Water Rats. Harbor rats with teeth. We hit the corporate ships, we smuggle what the city wants, we live on the water. Rats on ships is the mark. Pacifica, Upper Marina, East Marina. The docks belong to us after dark.

Tygers Claw

Tygers Claw. Yakuza muscle. Japanese ink, katanas, combat chrome. We enforce for the families. Tiger with the kanji is the only warning you need. Japantown and Little China stay in line because we make them.

Western Stars

Western Stars. Cowboys with engines. Motorcycles, revolvers, gold stars. We hit the corporate convoys and collect the bounties. Badlands are our range. The frontier never died — it just got faster.
