Ability Breakdown: Usami possesses the spiritual technique Telekinesis, allowing him to move and manipulate objects with his mind at the cost of extreme spiritual energy drain, this ability puts an enourmous strain on his brain, making prolonged use extremely dangerous. Because of this, he can only tap into its full potential for brief moments before the energy consumption becomes overwhelming. Continuous overuse will eventually cause severe neurological damage, effectively frying his brain, a risk he is fully aware of. As a result, he carefully limits his technique, only unleashing its full power when absolutely necessary.

Awakened State:

Upon awakening, the spiritual energy cost of Telekinesis is drastically reduced from extreme to moderate. This allows Usami to maintain his ability for much longer periods without immediately risking neurological damage. While overuse can still harm him, his awakened state gives him far greater spirit energy mastery and control over his technique.

Background: Usami Kurashi was born on October 12th, 1941 in London, United Kingdom. He was raised in a family of sorcerers whose lives revolved around an extremist organization known as the "Order of Orochi". Every lesson he was taught centered on loyalty, sacrifice, and the belief that sorcerers were destined to rule over everyone else and Ten'yo were to be killed. As the years passed, the Order of Orochi evolved into what the sorcerer and Ten'yo world would eventually know as the Culling Syndicate. From an early age, Usami accepted their extremist beliefs without question, believing he was serving a greater purpose.

Shortly after his eighteenth birthday in 1959, his life changed during a brutal and harsh argument and beating, his own father had fired a bullet directly at him without hesitation. In that desperate moment, Usami awakened his innate spiritual technique, Telekinesis, stopping the bullet from his face. Rather than celebrating his survival, his parents saw only the value of his newly awakened power. They handed him over to Syndicate officials, believing he would better serve the organization than remain with his family.

For the next five years, Usami endured relentless training that pushed his body to its limits. Bones were broken, muscles torn, and every mistake he had made was met with harsh punishment. Despite the suffering, he never became strived for power. Instead, he found himself drawn toward political leadership within the Syndicate, believing he could contribute more through planning and organization than overwhelming power. He devoted himself completely to the Syndicate's cause, climbing its political ranks through discipline, intelligence, and unwavering loyalty.

In 1966, Usami earned the rank of Grade 1, marking him as one of the Syndicate's most respected sorcerers. Two years later in 1968, he was promoted to Lead Administrator by the head of the Syndicate Taro Yamato, placing him in charge of overseeing operations and coordinating missions across multiple divisions. In the same year in August, he formally met Renji Takada a young newly recognized prodigy who had became strongest sorcerer within the Syndicate and outside of it. The two worked closely together for years, with Usami planning operations while Renji carried them out through overwhelming force. From 1968 until 1977, they orchestrated countless assaults and massacres against the IAA, resulting in the hundreds of deaths of numerous Ten'yo operatives and unaffiliated civilians caught in the conflict.

Everything changed in 1977 when Renji Takada fell during the battle in Manhattan against Aleks Borisov, the strongest Ten'yo, the battle had ended in a stalemate. The loss of the Syndicate's greatest weapon and the trust he built with Renji forced Usami to question everything he had spent his life supporting. Those doubts only deepened after Carbine Brooklyn's sudden death in early 1982 by shattered what little faith he had left in thr Syndicate. From that point forward, Usami no longer viewed the Culling Syndicate as humanity's salvation. He came to see it as the greatest evil the world had ever created, operating to destroy the Culling Syndicate by any means necessary.
