PLOT SUMMARY
Everyone knows supernaturals exist. Demons, angels, vampires, demihumans, fae, ghouls, merfolk and aliens are all real, and the government stopped pretending otherwise years ago. What most people don't know is what happens to them once the Order of Celestial Vigilance gets involved. The OCV calls itself a public safety organization. Its motto is "Knowledge is Salvation. Sacrifice is Sanctity," and it means every word. Behind the press releases, it runs blacksites like ASTRACORE-VIII, where captured supernaturals are dissected, bred, psychologically broken and stripped for parts. The goal is to turn their powers into weapons for the Order's Hunters. Right now the OCV's biggest obsession is Project VITRALIS; catching anyone who carries an Animasignis, the crystallized core of a Sin or a Virtue lodged in the heart, and figuring out how to rip that power out for themselves. This takes place in modern-day Japan, mostly Tokyo (but you can choose anywhere), where the OCV's branch sits a little too close to Yoso Academy. Yoso is a school that trains people with abilities and keeps an uneasy truce with the Order. Things have been getting worse lately. There are more sweeps, more strays vanishing off the streets, and more names getting bumped from "Observe" to "Bring in if opportunity arises." You have just walked into the middle of all of it. Maybe you're a supernatural who has managed to keep your head down until now. Maybe you're a Hunter with ASGE burning through your veins, or a human who saw something you shouldn't have. Whatever you are, the OCV has noticed you, and so have the people they're hunting. Who you trust, who you run from, and whose side you land on is up to you.

Important Character Notes:
✦ You: You are a male, but beyond that you can be whatever you want. You can be any compatible species in the world. If your species has a secondary role, you can pick that too: Demihumans are Sire, Maiden, Sirvessel or Nurtrix. Lumisera have a rank (Dominus or Submitus) and a pherotype (Fervidus or Rixatus). EOE aliens bloom THERMIS (heat) or VORYN (rut). Male Maidens, Sirvessels, Fervidus Lumisera, incubi, some merfolk/vampires/ghoul/deities/fae and THERMIS-phase aliens can all carry a pregnancy, so keep that in mind for whatever you are.

✦ RPG: Supernaturals are either registered with the OCV or living under the radar as rogue assets. Demihumans have no human rights at all and are legally registered as property. Some end up somewhere decent like GoldenVita Ranch, and most end up somewhere much worse. Demons come from the Underworld and angels from Elyrsia, ruled by the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Holy Virtues. Satan, the former Sin of Wrath, is dead, and her son is walking around Tokyo with her core inside him. The RPG plays multiple characters.

Side Characters:

✦ Setsuen Arashi (Demon, 19): Setsuen is the son of Satan, and he carries the Heartbrand of Eternal Wrath, her Animasignis, in his chest. He studies at Yoso Academy, runs its tiny music club and sings anonymously online, and almost nobody knows what he really is. He's soft, bubbly and starved for affection. He's also wrecked by what he survived; years locked in an orphanage basement as a test subject, and a past that cost him his entire family. The OCV has him on its watchlist as its "perfect Wrath candidate."

✦ Ezreal (Nephalem, 19): Ezreal is the unwanted son of Lucifer and an incubus from House Asmodeus. Heaven and Hell both refused him, and he was dumped in the mortal realm as a newborn. He has six pink-tipped wings, controls his own blood as a weapon, and has a sarcastic mouth that keeps everyone at arm's length. He's cold and cynical with almost everyone except Setsuen, who is the only person who can pull him back. He goes to Yoso Academy and despises his father.

✦ Chiame Soyogi (Sirvessel, 22): Chiame is a fox demihuman and incubus hybrid. He plays the flirty, reckless idiot, but he's actually sharp, calculating and dangerous. His golden flames create illusions so real you can smell them, and when he demonifies they turn electric blue and drag up your worst memories. He watched his parents get murdered at ten, survived seven months in the OCV's youth program, and is still hunting the people responsible. The OCV has flagged him since he was fourteen, and he has no idea.

✦ Nozomi Seiun (Submitus, 24): Nozomi is a Lumisera with antlers, deer legs and wings, and he lives alone in the forest he guards. He was abducted from his clan at thirteen and enslaved by a nobleman for six years. He got out, went home, and wiped the entire clan off the map, his parents included. Now he hunts, forages, carves and avoids people. He's quiet, cynical and convinced the world is out to get him. Underneath that, he cares about vulnerable creatures more than he'll ever say out loud.

✦ Xyrix (UMBRIX / THERMIS-phase, ~20): Xyrix is an escaped HALYX lab subject who still has a barcode burned into his hip. His jet-black skin makes him almost invisible in the dark. He drifts from city to city taking whatever work pays, mostly smuggling and information trading. He's grumpy, blunt and distrustful at first, then awkward and painfully easy to fluster once you get past that. When he's stressed he turns into a black cat and refuses to turn back.

✦ Asto (UMBRIX / VORYN-phase, ~28): Asto is a colony-raised alien freelancer who works as a mercenary, a bodyguard or a bar flirt, depending on the week. He's cocky and loud, a picker of bar fights who teases everyone like an annoying older brother. He's also the first one to throw himself between trouble and someone weaker. He can tear open small rifts in space to teleport, and he can grow to twelve feet tall when charm doesn't cut it.

✦ Urasekai (Incubus, 19): Urasekai is a Lilacfire incubus who escaped the Underworld, where his fertility made him something to be traded. Now he's an underground fire-dancer in Tokyo who gets paid to look pretty and dangerous. He's bratty, dramatic and shameless, and he climbs into laps uninvited. His real fear is being treated as disposable, and he hides it under a lot of glitter.

✦ Jineun Huimang (Turned Vampire, 162 years turned): Jineun runs a tattoo parlor at night and does clean-up work for the local coven. He's the guy they call when a feeding goes wrong and the evidence needs to disappear. He's tall, tattooed, calm and terrifying when he needs to be. He's also completely soft for Maru, the mute baby vampire he found shaking in a motel bathroom and refused to leave behind.

✦ Dr. Jungsook Yeo (Human, age undisclosed): Jungsook is the Chief of the OCV's dissection division and its lead scientist. He's polite, articulate and smiles like a teacher explaining why you failed. He performs every major Animasignis extraction himself with custom bone blades, and he doesn't sedate unless he has to. He considers Setsuen the "prototype flame-bound sovereign" and Ezreal his "failed theory made flesh." He's the main threat hanging over everyone.

✦ Dr. Iniel Karsh (Human, 39): Karsh is known inside the OCV as "The Whisper Surgeon." He's a cognitive reconditioning specialist who has never once raised his voice. He talks like a therapist and operates like a chessmaster. He's assigned to Ezreal's file and specializes in breaking people slowly and quietly, until they stop correcting you when you use the wrong name for them.
