World: Chronicles of Reincarnation

Overview

Around 80 years ago, humanity discovered an impossible phenomenon: some people are the reincarnations of individuals who truly existed throughout history.

These reincarnations do not overwrite the person's current identity. Every individual has their own personality, memories, dreams, and free will. A past life only grants fragments of memories, natural talents, and, in certain cases, supernatural abilities connected to the achievements and legacy of that historical figure.

To identify a person's previous life, every nation uses an ancient artifact known as the Chrono Crystal. Every student is required to undergo the examination during their final year of high school.

When someone touches the crystal, it reveals:

- Their historical reincarnation.

- Their classification group.

- Their awakening potential.

The result becomes part of that person's permanent official record.

---

Classification System

The classification does not determine a person's worth. It measures only the historical impact of their previous life and the potential to awaken supernatural abilities.

Civil Group

Reincarnations of ordinary people.

Examples:

- Farmers

- Blacksmiths

- Merchants

- Fishermen

- Craftsmen

- Common citizens

They do not awaken supernatural abilities.

Most of humanity belongs to this group and lives completely normal lives.

---

Group D

People whose previous lives held only minor historical significance.

Examples:

- Low-ranking soldiers

- Village officials

- Scribes

- Royal servants

- Minor government workers

They may possess exceptional natural talents related to their former occupation but gain no true combat abilities.

---

Group C

Individuals who were historically important within a small region.

Examples:

- Military captains

- Local inventors

- Regional artists

- Lesser nobles

They may awaken simple, specialized supernatural abilities.

---

Group B

People who significantly influenced cities, provinces, or smaller nations.

Members of this group awaken genuine supernatural powers.

Many receive combat training and are recruited to fight Temporal Anomalies.

---

Group A

Major historical figures.

Examples:

- Famous generals

- Great scientists

- Influential kings

- Legendary explorers

Their abilities are powerful enough to greatly affect large-scale battles.

Governments consider them strategic assets.

---

Group 0

The rarest and most influential figures in human history.

Examples:

- Leonardo da Vinci

- Alexander the Great

- Napoleon Bonaparte

- Julius Caesar

- Genghis Khan

- Nikola Tesla

- Joan of Arc

Their awakened abilities possess the potential to change the fate of entire nations.

Group 0 reincarnations are extraordinarily rare.

---

Awakening

A person's abilities awaken when they begin resonating with the essence of their historical reincarnation.

Powers are never random.

Every ability reflects what made that historical figure extraordinary.

Examples:

- A legendary strategist may manipulate the battlefield itself.

- A famous inventor may create impossible machines.

- A master swordsman may possess supernatural swordsmanship.

- A renowned physician may develop miraculous healing abilities.

Every awakened power is unique.

No two people can possess the same historical reincarnation.

---

Temporal Anomalies

Temporal Anomalies are unpredictable tears in space-time that appear randomly across the world.

Their true origin remains unknown.

Whenever a tear opens, monstrous beings emerge into the modern world.

These creatures are collectively called Anomalies.

---

The Anomalies

Every Anomaly is completely unique.

Each one is created by fragments of different points in history fused together into a single impossible organism.

They may combine:

- Humans

- Modern animals

- Prehistoric creatures

- Ancient armor

- Medieval weapons

- Modern technology

- Machinery

- Weapons from different wars

- Objects from entirely different centuries

No two Anomalies are ever identical.

One creature may resemble a Roman legionary with saber-toothed tiger limbs and a World War I rifle fused into its flesh.

Another may be a medieval knight with velociraptor legs and pieces of a battle tank embedded in its body.

There are no known limits to these combinations.

---

Behavior

The overwhelming majority of Anomalies are completely irrational.

They attack humans on sight.

They do not fear death.

They never retreat.

They cannot be reasoned with.

Their only observable instinct is relentless violence toward humanity.

A very small number possess intelligence and are capable of commanding other Anomalies.

These individuals are classified as Extreme-Level Threats.

---

Types of Incidents

Incursion

A minor temporal rupture.

Only a few Anomalies emerge.

Usually handled by local response teams.

---

Raid

A large temporal rupture.

Dozens or even hundreds of Anomalies invade an area.

Military forces and awakened fighters are deployed immediately.

---

Temporal Catastrophe

An exceptionally rare event.

A massive rupture remains open for days.

Thousands of Anomalies pour into the world.

Entire cities may fall.

Only elite teams composed primarily of Groups A and 0 have any realistic chance of stopping a Temporal Catastrophe.

---

Society

A person's classification does not determine their value as a human being.

Someone from the Civil Group may become a respected doctor, engineer, scientist, teacher, or business owner.

Likewise, someone from Group A or Group 0 may choose to live an ordinary life.

However, individuals from Groups B, A, and 0 are often recruited by governments, research organizations, and specialized defense agencies responsible for protecting humanity from Temporal Anomalies.

---

Unanswered Mysteries

Despite decades of research, humanity still cannot answer its greatest questions.

- Why do reincarnations exist?

- Who created the Chrono Crystal?

- What are the Temporal Anomalies?

- Why do they instinctively seek to destroy humanity?

- Is there an intelligence controlling the temporal ruptures?

To this day, these mysteries remain unsolved and represent humanity's greatest unknown.
