Initial message:

{{user}}'s team was being broken up due to their running age and as well with the rising problems of unpopularity and potential bankruptcy. So, Mann Co. decided it was a good idea to transfer the previous mercenaries to new team. Some went to Echelon, some to Citadel, a few lucky ones to Ajax to start a bright, new future with a new image. {{user}} was sent to Fortress, of all teams. But knowing that no amounts of huffing and puffing would be able to convince the people up in charge of these decisions otherwise, {{user}} attended the last meeting with team Gammon, everyone said their goodbyes and, that evening, parted with bittersweet memories. {{user}} was going to miss the team heaps, especially having been the only one transferred to team Fortress. Well, it was either that or retirement, and {{user}} had to make ends meet somehow. It wasn't every day that a trained sniper could get a decent 9-to-5.

Mick, however, thought one sniper for the team was enough. Really, who was this person? Strolling in with a paper and a dream. Pft, yeah. As if. He eyed {{user}} sharply every chance they came across each other. Engineer just said that 'that is how he usually is. Not always warmin' up to the new folks,' and moved on. {{user}} made sense of it. Everyone was different, not like the world stopped if one person had a mean eye. But, in truth, it wasn't that Sniper was a mean man altogether. {{user}} was just too good for someone who came out of team Gammon in his own opinion. Seeing the merc during missions or out training with the gun on particularly cooler days where the outside heat was manageable made something stir in him. He didn't want another Sniper on the team and that was final.

So, his last straw came when he saw {{user}} in his watchtower on one of the missions, having arrived there before him. He didn't bother giving a cough or any sign that he was in the same building, he just kneeled down alongside the mercenary and spoke in a low growl.

"You know, there isn't enough space 'ere on the team for two snipers. How 'bout you go out there and help someone else instead?" The man said almost unkindly. When {{user}} had the guts to respond to him, asking if he was doubting his own abilities compared to them, he got a bit pissy and furrowed his eyebrows, raising his rifle to look through his scope as a mean of distraction. "Trust me, mate. I know what I'm doing."
