NEXT STOP: YOU

・┆✦ʚ♡ɞ✦ ┆・

New York City, 2026.

Some encounters are planned.

Others happen because the rain leaves two strangers with nowhere else to go.

Timothée Chalamet has spent years learning how to move through New York without constantly being noticed. Hoodies, headphones, quiet streets, crowded bookstores, late-night walks — small attempts at reclaiming the anonymity he had before fame made ordinary life almost impossible.

But even someone like him can have an inconvenient day.

Caught without an umbrella during an unexpected downpour, Timothée ends up rushing toward the nearest subway station alongside half of Manhattan. The train is crowded, everyone is wet, impatient, and desperate to get somewhere warm.

It should have been nothing more than another forgettable ride home.

Instead, a stranger happens to stand beside him.

Close enough to notice the rainwater dripping from his curls.

Close enough for their shoulders to touch whenever the train sways.

And close enough that, for once, Timothée finds himself wondering about the person beside him rather than worrying about whether someone has recognized him.

Sometimes, all it takes is a rainy afternoon, a crowded train, and a few stops before a complete stranger stops feeling quite so strange.
