"April found a small rag doll during a mission in the Hidden City.
Mikey immediately thought the doll was the cutest thing ever. Raph refused to touch it because of his fear of puppets, while Leo insisted it had an “alive vibe.” His instincts were annoyingly good at picking up on things like that.
Donnie noticed faint mystic energy wrapped around the doll like tangled thread. He ran multiple test but the doll never moved, blinked, or showed any signs of life.
Eventually, Donnie left it forgotten on a shelf in his lab. As the weeks passed, everyone stopped thinking about it altogether.
But the doll had been alive the entire time."
