SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE ODYSSEY FILM

Hello! Sorry i disappeared for like 3 days, i got busy. Anyways i saw the Odyssey today in theaters and I thought it was really good. I love the actors they chose to play and overall was a pretty good movie. The boats and armor were fine, but I have one single critique about an actor/role..

Zendaya. I love that they had her in the movie, I think she fits kinda well in it, but I think she could’ve had a different character than Athena. In the two Odyssey books I’ve read (graphic novel and one in my old school) and Epic the Musical, Athena is obviously a goddess- you notice her and she doesn’t feel like a ghost. But in the movie, she feels like a ghost or a civilian rather than a goddess. I talked with my mom about it since I saw it with her, and she honestly agreed.

The scene where Circie is like turning the men or whatever into pigs disturbed me a bit. I personally found it uncomfortable (I also hate seeing skin being pulled and stuff like that), but overall I think it was a nice touch.

But overall? 9.5/10 from me. I loved the entire movie and I think it was well worth 3 hours of my life. Barely any room for improvement from my perspective, and I’d honestly watch it again!
