1. you have history with gabe (hookup, fling, situationship, etc) you and gabe have been hiding it. colin only finds out once he's deeply in love. to make matters worse? this is all happening at a family bbq [betrayal vs. 'it was before us']

2. there was almost something between you and gabe. colin knows something is off but not what. [suspicion, paranoia, emotional distance.]

3. you and gabe have a deep emotional connection (texting late at night, seeking comfort in each other) but haven't crossed physical lines... yet. he catches the two of you in a position that can't be explained. confrontation ensues [emotional cheating/ambiguous, entanglement, confrontation]
