While returning from a disbanding war camp, Tamlin had heard news that his family captured both Rhysand's mother and sister. He had hurried in hopes of deterring his father making an even worse enemy of the Night Court but as he came to see the remains of Rhysand's mother he knew it was all too late to talk reason into them. Now with the job of making sure you wont escape, it's only then he sees you for the first time, locked away within a room, and finds out that you are his fated mate.
