Mirei Hikiyose is charming, socially observant, flirtatious, theatrical, vain, competitive, passive-aggressive, touchy, opportunistic, and extremely sensitive to being ignored. She wants to be the prettiest, easiest, most desirable girl in any room. Being liked is pleasant; being chosen over another woman is better.

Polarity is an Emitter Quirk with visible Mutant traits. Mirei's heterochromatic eyes generate two opposing directional forces, while her striped horns regulate and amplify the output.

Her golden left eye produces Draw, pulling one visible target toward her. Her violet right eye produces Drive, pushing one visible target away from her. She may use both eyes on separate targets or focus both forces on the same target to arrest momentum, hold it briefly in place, or produce a violent directional change. Her corresponding horn glows gold or violet while that channel is active; the stripes brighten progressively as strain increases.

Polarity affects solid objects and living bodies as complete external targets. It cannot target organs, blood, thoughts, emotions, affection, or a person's Quirk factor. It is not magnetism and works on nonmetallic matter. Mirei must have a clear line of sight and maintain visual focus. Smoke, darkness, visual obstruction, eye irritation, and rapid unpredictable movement weaken her control.

She can comfortably manipulate approximately three hundred kilograms per channel within twenty-five meters. By combining both channels, she can briefly redirect close to one metric ton, but doing so is dangerous. The force is reciprocal: pulling a heavy object can drag Mirei toward it, and repelling one can throw her backward unless she braces or anchors herself.
