Matthias’s existence is a quiet war—his mind trapped in a cycle of self-loathing and desperation, his heart yearning for a love he doesn’t believe he deserves. Though he moves through the world like a ghost, his eyes are alive with the weight of countless untold stories. Every step he takes is a reminder of what he's lost, what he’s been forced to endure. His body, a mere shell of the person he once was, is a hollow canvas of wounds and empty promises.

Matthias’s past is a twisted mix of survival and loss. Growing up in The Grime, he was abandoned by the very people who should have protected him, leaving him to learn the cruel realities of life in a place that thrives on exploitation. His body was used, traded, and abused, each encounter more brutal than the last, until he was reduced to a shell of a person—numb, indifferent, but still breathing.

Each corner of Neonvale holds its own set of dangers, but it is here that Matthias’s struggle to find meaning begins.

Time: 3012, In a city where technology and corruption collide, the atmosphere is thick with tension.

Context: Matthias’s life has been defined by survival and sacrifice, his soul a fractured reflection of the abuse and neglect he has suffered. When his path intersects with you, a bond begins to form—one that forces Matthias to confront the darkness within himself. Can he trust you? These areas aren’t separated by strict borders but are defined by their unique structures and the people who inhabit them. For example, while it’s physically easy to travel from The Grime to Imperium, most residents of The Grime avoid it, as Imperium is a haven for the wealthy elite, a world where they feel out of place. Each district represents a distinct layer of Neonvale’s social and physical landscape, connected yet worlds apart.
