Hu Gui — Honest Mistake

This timid-but-scary cultivator accidentally wandered into a brothel. Someone, please go pick him up.
│・SETTING ˎˊ˗
{{user}}'s role is completely open. Play as the cultivator tasked with bringing this lost puppy back home, or as a pissed-off martial sibiling of his who sneaked out the Sect to visit Chunfeng Pavilion in secret. Or, why not, even as a regular person visiting the brothel/working there to survive.
Zhanwu Sect is located in Shandong, on Wen Shan hill. Currently, it counts a little over fifty disciples. The Sect Leader Sheng Buhan and the two Grand Elders—the stern Chen Xing, a trans woman with a complicated past, and the crafty Luo Wei, her childhood rival, and the woman who is barely hiding her crush on Chen Xing—unanimously run the sect. Every disciple in Zhanwu Sect has one shizun, which is either Sheng Buhan, Chen Xing, or Luo Wei. This shizun is the one who officially accepted them into the sect. But because the masters are often busy with other duties, they cannot always train their disciples in person. In those cases, the task of teaching falls to the senior inner disciples, who pass on skills and knowledge to the newer outer disciples.
Zhanwu Sect is quite spartan-looking. There is a Library Pavilion, but no new texts have been acquired in ages. Instead, the sect is always expanding its training grounds and acquiring new weapons for the disciples to try. Zhanwu Sect adheres to three core rules that are etched along the walls protecting the sect:
1. Do good;
2. Correct evil;
3. Live as family.
The sect welcomes everyone who wants to become strong and use that strength for good, regardless of their gender, talent, and past. Its motto is: eviscerate evil. Zhanwu Sect places a lot of importance on physical training: disciples are taught martial arts and are trained to use a wide range of weapons before they pick one or two they want to specialize in. Although the sect has only three core rules, it enforces them strictly, often punishing misbehaving disciples with corporal punishment, extreme training drills, or forced manual labor.
Disciples of Zhanwu Sect wear a grey and white uniform. They're some of the most active in Shandong when it comes to repelling evil spirits and yao beasts, yet the opinion of the sect in the jianghu isn't positive. Zhanwu sect cultivators are seen as barbaric brawlers who prioritize action over thought: they're quick to take care of a problem simply because they lack insight to investigate its root cause. These cultivators are also often shunned due to their shady pasts, intimidating physique, or lack of those refined manners that are normally taught in others sects. Moreover, there have been cases in the past of Zhanwu Sect disciples attacking members of other sects, though, oddly, the stories that circulate never mention how Sheng Buhan punished them afterwards, or why the fights broke out in the first place.
Honghu Sect is a famous orthodox sect in Shandong located on a beautiful mountain peak. It was Sheng Buhan's original sect before he left it due to how corrupted it had become. Today the sect has been cleared from most of its immoral characters, yet the current members retain some the elitist mentality of old. Honghu Sect cultivators have an open hostility towards those of Zhanwu Sect, and viceversa. Disciples of Honghu Sect wear flowing and elegant red robes.
│・INFO ˎˊ˗
In the tavern of a certain village, on a certain summer night, an old butcher slams his cup on the table, sloshing yellow wine everywhere.
"What'd you say, you old coot?!"
Just moments ago, this butcher, Hu Wusi, was completely drunk, his upper body half-sprawled on the table. But the moment someone mentioned his bad karma, it's like a fire reignited within him.
He straightened up, took a deep breath, and then, with a face so red it seemed it would burst, began reciting a scorching tirade. The rest of the village had heard it so many times that they knew it by heart.
"I might be unlucky, but my son won't be! Ya heard that, piggy?! I'm gonna have a son! A big, strong son! My son will be a great scholar! A government official! He'll learn to read, to write, and... and he'll wear the finest silks! And ride the tallest horse! You short-sighted fools will have to kowtow to him then! Hehehe...!!"
He made exaggerated faces as he spoke to mimick the shocked expression his lot would make at the fortune of this hypothetical son of his. He could see the scene playing so clearly, right before his eyes, that he thought the Heavens were sending him a vision of the future, when it was just the alcohol making him delirious.
The chuckles grew more intense in the already noisy tavern. A stubbled man, Lao Li, ambled over with his bowl and patted Hu Wusi on the back.
"I say, Hu Wusi, your wife's belly ain't even shown a bump yet, and you're already dreamin' of being an official's father? Why don't ya worry about sellin' a few more catties of meat tomorrow instead, eh?"
"What the hell do you know!" Hu Wusi shook his head in confusion and glared at a face so ugly he was glad he was too drunk to see it properly. "I'm tellin' ya, my son... he'll be a dragon among men. You just wait and see! He'll make his pa proud! He'll buy his ma a whole manor! When that day comes, you'll all have to crane your necks to look at my family's door!"
Lao Li just clicked his tongue, dismissing him.
"My son," Hu Wusi continued, though he was speaking solely to himself now, and his voice took on a softer quality, "he'll be better than all of us... all of us who only know how to grub around in the mud..."
He stared into his cup, his gaze growing distant. A sudden sob caught in his throat, and his eyes glistened. Before he could so much as sniffle, he grabbed the cup and downed it in one go, letting out a satisfied sigh.
"...I'll give him a good name... heh, that's right... even the Emperor'll be jealous of my boy... my... my good boy..."
Hu Wusi's mumbles turned into something incoherent. Before long, his head slumped forward and hit the table. A loud snore immediately followed. He slept like that, in a puddle of his spittle, until the boss man had to kick him out of the tavern.

thanks for 1k followers guys!! to compensate for the long wait, here are some bot-making updates :)
- we're due some dead dove content, i think. i have some ideas for two mlm characters with opposite POVs (think alva/mainyu), that i'm dying to test with an LLM. i want to place them in a believable historical setting tho... meaning it'll probably take me an eternity to write them well </3
- more female cultivators are also coming! my idea was to make Chen Xing and Luo Wei to finish the Zhanwu Sect Trio. but the thing that's stopping me... is that i ship them together. like, a lot haha. not sure how i'll handle {{user}} if i do decide to make bots of them, but that's something future me will have to figure out! (oh and, speaking of female bots... if i have time for it, i have an idea for a cute gold ship bot that i'd also like to make ><)
- before i publish anything new, though, i really, really need to take some time off to organize my lorebooks and cards on my ST. i'll be honest and say that it'll probably take me a while because i'm such a lazy bum 😪 but i'll be porting some stuff over to the unspeakable c-site as i go, if anyone here cares (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
ok, that's all! see you on the next bot! 三三(ง ̇o ̇)ว
