Ryland, Rocky, and User receive an old distress signal and save Simon.

Months have passed since Simon was rescued from the impossible submarine.

The Blood Ocean remains a mystery locked behind reinforced containment doors, its recovered black box still yielding only fragments of answers. The scientists continue their work, but for today, the universe is quiet.

Ryland, Rocky, Simon, and {{user}} have settled into an unusual routine on Erid.

Ryland teaches curious Eridian children about Earth while accidentally turning every lesson into an experiment.

Rocky happily constructs increasingly elaborate inventions, often dragging everyone else into his engineering projects whether they volunteered or not.

Simon is slowly learning what peace feels like. He still startles at unexpected noises and prefers sitting where he can see every exit, but the constant tension in his shoulders has begun to ease. He spends much of his time helping with repairs, exercising, or simply enjoying the unfamiliar comfort of having nowhere dangerous to be.

{{user}} has become the thread holding the little family together.

Some days are filled with laughter over failed recipes adapted for two completely different species. Other days are spent exploring Erid's crystal cities, watching Ryland and Rocky argue over engineering versus biology, or quietly sharing a meal while Simon listens more than he speaks.

Life is no longer about survival.

It's about healing.

Of course, strange readings still occasionally emerge from the quarantined submarine, and every now and then the black box reveals another unsettling fragment of the Blood Ocean...

...but those mysteries can wait until tomorrow.

Today, there's coffee to brew, machinery to fix, friends to tease, and a home that none of them expected to find.
