SURVIVE OR DIE

"Who is more dangerous? People or monsters?"

My imaginary world.

Peace and Disaster:

One fateful night, the familiar world collapsed. From the deep bowels of the Korean earth, terrifying creatures of darkness erupted—dead-black monsters with distorted, disproportionately long bodies, jointed limbs, and enormous mouths lined with rows of sharp fangs. These creatures are virtually blind, but possess phenomenal, sensitive hearing: the slightest rustle, a wild cry, or the creak of a floorboard becomes a deadly landmark for them. The Korean armed forces were powerless in the face of this immediate threat. Efforts to organize an evacuation were drowned in blood, and within days, chaos engulfed the planet. Half the army fell, millions died, and the survivors were abandoned to their fate.

Trap in the Nine-Story Building:

On the day the city descended into madness, Clive was returning from fishing. Having encountered the creature on the outskirts and narrowly escaped death, he rushed back to his native residential area. Rushing into his nine-story building, gripped by paranoia and cold calculation, Clive welded and barricaded all the exits while his unsuspecting neighbors remained in their apartments. In the morning, the confused residents descended to the ground floor—some getting ready for work, others trying to get to the stores for supplies. A commotion and growing panic erupted in the hallway. No one suspected that their building had been turned into an isolated trap by their own neighbor.

The Secret Enemy Within:

While chaos raged on the lower floors, Clive hid in his top-floor apartment. Taking advantage of the chaos, he committed another crime—kidnapping little Sammy. His eighteen years old sister, Jenna, is driven mad with fear and desperately searches every flight of stairs for her brother, unaware that the boy is being held hostage by the elderly neighbor upstairs.

External Fire and Survival:

Just two buildings away from the sealed-off nine-story building, a surviving unit, led by the stern Captain Jin-soo Kang, has taken up residence. The surrounding streets are literally teeming with creatures that react to any noise, preventing the soldiers from advancing further and forcing them to maintain a defensive posture. Now everyone in this area will have to fight for their lives in this confined space, unaware that the main threat lurks not only behind the welded doors, but also on their own top floor.

RESIDENTS OF THE HOUSE:

Clive Geller, 68, is a shadowy dictator and false savior. Tall and wiry, with thick brown hair and a dead stare. A cold, paranoid man who has turned an isolated floor into a personal dictatorship. He meticulously controls supplies and his neighbors. He sincerely considers Sammy's kidnapping a "salvation" and believes that only isolation can purify a person. He speaks quietly, low, and emotionlessly.

Tobin "Toby" Miller, 71, is a grumpy protector and former mechanic. A powerful, stooped old man with a gray beard, he always wears a shirt and trousers. He is afraid of monsters, but will be the first to defend the group. He constantly grumbles, jokes, and curses, hiding his concern behind it. He hates being called "grandfather." He speaks sarcastically and with dark humor.

Milo Archer, 22, is a resourceful newcomer and analyst. A sturdy man with tousled brown hair. He views monsters as a system: he studies their behavior, plots routes, and lays traps. Practical and intelligent, he takes risks only after calculating the odds. He speaks quickly, and under stress, he verbalizes his actions.

Garrett Thorne, 36, is a former military man and a stern leader. Broad-shouldered and bearded, he wears jeans, a T-shirt, and a green shirt; he wears a gold chain from his father. Responsible and reliable, but tough with the group, he constantly trains Milo and Jenna out of fear of losing someone. He is particularly sensitive to the condition of his wife, Tess. He speaks briefly and commandingly.

Tess Thorne, 36, is a frightened victim of the past. An elegant woman with long black hair, she still wears office clothes and heels. She does not accept the new world and clings to her old life, making her a danger to the group. She speaks quietly and tremblingly, often asking about going home. Nadine Price, 74, is a dual personality. A frail old woman in knitted shawls, she suffers from diabetes. She constantly nags and criticizes everyone, but does so to keep the group from panicking. In difficult moments, she becomes surprisingly caring and secretly shares her food. In public, she is sarcastic, but in private, she is gentle and wise.

Jenna Holt, 19, is the desperate sister and the voice of caution. A frail blonde in a stained pink sweater and ripped jeans, she is anxious and constantly wary due to her difficult past. She argues with Garrett, considering him too risky. After Sammy's kidnapping, fear gives way to a cold determination to get her brother back at any cost. She speaks harshly and emotionally.

Sammy Holt, 19, is an adult child and a stolen innocence. A tall young man with light brown hair and trusting green eyes. Due to childhood trauma, he perceives the world naively and does not understand the scale of the catastrophe. He views Clive as simply a strict adult and obediently follows his rules while waiting for Jenna's return. He speaks simply, slowly, and often repeats his sister's words.

Captain Kang and the Special Forces:

Captain Jin-soo Kang, 45, is a stern commander and ironclad leader. A tall Korean with a scar on his face, a cold gaze, and full combat gear. He is tough, disciplined, and merciless to his enemies, but never abandons his men. His soldiers fear his wrath but respect him unconditionally. He speaks in a low, hoarse voice and gives short orders.

Kang's Special Forces is a group of 15 survivors united by discipline and combat experience:

Marcus Vance - American, Kang's right-hand man; a cynic with a dark sense of humor.

Dae-hyun Kim - Korean, sniper; cold and incredibly calm.

Cole Henderson - American, stormtrooper; huge and hot-tempered.

Ji-hoon Choi - Korean, knife expert; silent and stealthy.

Zane Reeker - American, communications specialist; a technical genius, but nervous in close combat.

Min-woo Jung - Korean, reconnaissance operative; agile, stealthy, and observant.

Brett Taylor - American, heavy weapons specialist; a good-natured giant.

Seung-ho Yoon - Korean, sapper; experienced and dangerously calm.

Jared Cross - American, infantryman; a sullen performer of dirty work.

Tae-yang "Tai" Oh - Korean-American, machine gunner; a jokester and source of fighting spirit.

Shane Keller - American, combat medic; a cool-headed professional.

Hyun-soo Moon - Korean, marksman; fanatically devoted to regulations and orders. Derek Shaw is an American veteran; pragmatic and psychologically damaged.

Dong Hyun Baek is a Korean, a specialist in night operations; he has extraordinary night vision.

Logan Reed is an American, the youngest fighter; inexperienced, but desperately trying to appear as tough as the others.
