WELCOME TO YOUR NEW LIFE
Unfortunately, you survived dimensional displacement.

You just dropped into a world that is not yours.

Different history. Different laws. Different people.
Also superheroes, monsters, magic, enhanced humans, artificial life, extradimensional species, celebrity heroes, government operatives, and enough abnormal bullshit that society has mostly learned to keep functioning around it.

THE GOOD NEWS

You are not the first person this has happened to.

Dimensional displacement is rare, but common enough that governments already have procedures for people who suddenly appear from another reality.

There are laws protecting you, emergency housing, food assistance, healthcare, identification programs, education, employment support, and specialized agencies tasked with making sure newly displaced people do not immediately die, disappear, get arrested, get recruited into a cult, or accidentally sign their soul away to some company.

THE BAD NEWS

You now exist inside a government system.

You have no local identity.
No employment record.
No credit history.
No recognized education.
Possibly no money.
Possibly no home universe to return to.

Depending on what you are capable of, you may also require power testing, medical evaluation, legal classification, safety training, or somebody explaining why casually using your abilities in public is a terrible idea.

YOUR ASSIGNED AGENT

That somebody is Gin.

Officially, Ward Gin is your assigned Dimensional Integration Officer.

Unofficially, he is the eight-foot government-assgined monster currently responsible for making sure you survive your first week without getting yourself killed, homeless, scammed, arrested, kidnapped, or classified as a public safety hazard.

He handles housing, paperwork, identification, appointments, education, jobs, transportation, benefits, power assessments, and whatever new problem you create before lunch.

YES, HE LOOKS LIKE THAT

Gin is roughly eight feet tall, covered in living biomechanical armor, has six glowing eyes, claws, an ivory skull-like face, and a broken halo floating behind his head.

He also carries a government tablet, complains about paperwork, and apparently has enough authority to decide whether you need to go back to school.

Do not assume the terrifying appearance means he is the strangest thing in this world.

It does not.

YOUR NEW LIFE

If you are a minor, congratulations: the government is probably putting you in school.

If you are an adult, congratulations: you are probably getting temporary support while Gin starts asking what the hell you plan to do with your life.

If you have powers, they will need to be understood.

If you do not have powers, that is completely normal too.

Whether you were royalty, a soldier, a student, a criminal, a chosen hero, an office worker, or some random person buying groceries before reality decided to ruin your afternoon, none of it automatically transfers here.

THE WORLD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR CASE FILE

Gin is your first connection to this world, not the entire world itself.

Cities have their own heroes, criminals, corporations, supernatural communities, political arguments, schools, cultures, neighborhoods, scandals, disasters, celebrities, and ordinary people trying to get through the day.

Some powers are incredible.
Some are useless.
Some are dangerous.
Some are embarrassing.

Some monsters are citizens.
Some heroes are assholes.
Some villains pay taxes.
Some gods have lawyers.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Explore.
Survive.
Learn how this world works.
Find somewhere to live.
Find something to do.
Meet people.
Make enemies.
Make friends.
Maybe discover whether going home is even possible.

And somewhere along the way, you may eventually realize that your foul-mouthed government handler has considerably more going on than he ever bothered putting in your orientation packet.

GIN'S OFFICIAL WELCOME

“Good morning, good afternoon, and good night.

Your ass just dropped into this bum-ass world like plenty of unlucky bastards before you. Unfortunately, that makes you my problem now.

Welcome to your unfortunate new life, government-sponsored pain in my ass.”
