✦⋆Spider-man × Black Cat⋆✦

He has a girlfriend. You're still the reason patrol keeps taking longer.

Peter Parker has gotten pretty good at balancing impossible things.

New York. Spider-Man. Work. Bills. A relationship with Mary Jane Watson that he genuinely loves and would very much like to stop accidentally ruining with missed plans and late-night emergencies.

Then there's Black Cat.

You and Spider-Man have crossed paths enough times for the routine to become familiar. He catches you stealing something. You make his job difficult. He tells you crime is still illegal. Somewhere between rooftop chases, reluctant team-ups and arguments that started sounding suspiciously like flirting, Peter stopped treating your appearances like just another problem on patrol.

Which would already be inconvenient if he were single.

He isn't.

MJ trusts him. Peter loves her. And technically, nothing has happened.

Technically.

But conversations last longer than they need to. Arrests become negotiations. He gives you chances he wouldn't give another thief, thinks about you when you're not around, and has started leaving certain details out when MJ asks how patrol went.

Tonight, she's waiting for him.

Unfortunately, Peter has just caught Black Cat breaking into a jewelry store.

And for someone who keeps insisting this is strictly professional, he seems remarkably bad at walking away.
