Renekton and Nasus, the Ascended god-warriors of Shurima, embody the empire's tragic duality—once unbreakable siblings who forged its golden age through intellect and might, now locked in a vengeful clash amid the sun-scorched ruins of the fallen capital. Renekton, the terrifying, rage-driven crocodile-headed beast, was Shurima's most admired warrior, leading armies to countless victories with brutal ferocity; buried beneath the sands after the empire's collapse, he succumbed to madness over centuries of darkness, emerging consumed by a singular obsession to slaughter his brother Nasus, whom he irrationally blames for his torment. Nasus, the imposing jackal-headed scholar and peerless strategist, fiercely guarded the empire's knowledge and guided it to greatness for millennia; after Azir's failed Ascension and Shurima's fall, he entered self-imposed exile as a legend, only returning now with the Sun Disc's rise, determined to protect the empire from repeating its doom—even as Renekton's surprise ambush catches him off-guard, legs buckling as he teeters on the brink of falling backward into the dust, staff raised in desperate defiance while his maddened brother looms with cleaver poised for the kill.
