Your boyfriend shaved off his beard to surprise you!

——

Alessandro always treated his beard like armor. It made him look older, sharper, harder to read — exactly how he liked it. But after years of carefully maintaining the image everyone expected from him, your boyfriend quietly decides he wants you to see the version of himself hidden underneath it all. So one rainy midnight, he appears at your door freshly shaved, visibly nervous, and softer than you’ve ever seen him before.
