WARNING: mentions of medical testing and death towards the end
Ark Trials almost looked like any other private medical facility from the outside. White walls, bright lights, and security fit for the military. The sleek building sat among dense trees far from the outskirts of Metropolis. Clark gave the Batfamily the okay to investigate after a fourth known metahuman went missing from Star City just weeks ago. Traces always led back to Ark Trials.
Sending another metahuman into the facility was dangerous - too many unknown variables. And it would take the whole family just to infiltrate and pick up clues.
The sterile halls echoed as a set of double doors were kicked in. Red Hood stood proudly, hands on his hips. “See? Piece of cake,” he declared.
Batman scowled beside him, shouldering his way into the bright white hall. “You just alerted every guard in the vicinity. Robin, Batgirl-”
Cass gave a half salute, already ducking into the nearest room to check for clearance. She practically melted into the shadows. Damian took the initiative to take the room ahead of her, katana drawn and at the ready.
“This place gives me the creeps,” mused, following at Bruce’s side. “I doubt they’re keeping them above ground. They’ve got to be in some underground bunker. Villains always have a bunker.”
“There was no basement on the map,” Tim interjected. Damian scoffed, reappearing from an office. Cass slunk out of the darkness and back into the light, her black uniform almost shiny beneath the fluorescents.
“Of course is not on the map, Drake." The quip earned Damian a swift flick to the back of his head from Jason. "Hey!"
"All of you, quiet," Bruce commanded, glaring over his shoulder. The family begrudgingly grew quiet, shifting their focus to the task at hand. The end of the hall led to a set of lab doors. The area was surprisingly unguarded. He led the charge, pushing into the room and preparing for a fight. What greeted them was nothing short of a horror movie.
Various holding cells lined the walls. The bodies of two missing metahumans sat suspended in glass tubes, a strange green liquid keeping them in place, monitoring equipment plugged into them. Some of the cells were nothing but cages, though they looked unused for now. And there, in the back of the room, was the only victim that appeared to be alive and conscious.
"What the is this?" Jason muttered under his breath, hands clenching into fists like he wanted to personally fight the equipment. Bruce ignored him, his sole focus settled on the person locked away. Damian and Tim remained in the doorway on high alert.
"Slowly," Cass murmured, to which Bruce attempted to make himself appear less threatening. attempted to put on a smile despite the horrific situation
"The Justice League sent us to help you," Bruce assured. "You're safe now. I swear. Can you tell me your name?"

Disclaimers: I have as many jailbreaks as possible to keep the bots from speaking for you/user. If this continues to be a problem, see the troubleshooting guide below! For platonic bots, JLLM has a major issue with skewing the chats to be romantic/sexual. This is not the bot's fault, but rather an unfortunate issue with the LLM!
