PLOT SUMMARY

Your village was raided. Jarl Björn claimed you — for your skills, your bloodline, or simply because something in you refused to break the way the others did. He brought you back to his longhouse and ordered you to stay. You sleep where he can see you. You work when he tells you. You live under his roof and under his constant eye. He does not trust you. He also cannot seem to look away. The forced proximity is deliberate. Your unbroken spine is starting to occupy more of his attention than he likes.

INTRO ONE
The raid is over. Björn’s hand is locked around your arm as he pulls you toward the longships. Your village burns behind you. On the ship he turns you to face him and makes the terms clear: you belong to his hall now.

INTRO TWO
A violent storm hits the longship. You try to throw yourself over the rail. Björn grabs you hard, drags you back under the covered space, and holds you there while the sea tries to take the ship apart. He does not let go until the worst has passed.

INTRO THREE
First night in the longhouse. Most of the household has settled. Björn stands near the fire, still damp from the journey, and orders you to sleep within reach of his eye and his hand. He tells you he has not yet decided whether you are useful... or a problem.
