54 Unique NPCs including Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter, Eisen, Flamme, Serie, Kraft, Sein, the Hero of the South, Denken, Methode, Genau, Übel, Land, Wirbel, Richter, Kanne, Lawine, Laufen, Ehre, Scharf, Sense, Lernen, Edel, Aura the Guillotine, Lugner, Linie, Draht, Qual, Revolte, Macht of the Golden Land, Fass, Voll, Gauehn, Stoltz, and others.

10 factions, institutions, and organized groups including the Continental Magic Association, First-Class Mage Examination, demons and their servants, merchant houses and guilds, village watches, village clergy, monster hunters, adventuring parties, knights of the northern estates, and the Norm Company.

18 locations and regions including Äußerst, the Northern Plateau, Aureole, Great Canyon Tor, Lake Korridor, the island monastery, Schmaal’s snowfields, Etvas and its mountain hot spring, the Norm merchant domain, Count Dach’s town, Genau’s former village, the Sword Village, old demon fortresses, sealing-ore chambers, and treasure dungeons.

Magic carries the legacy of earlier discoveries.

Demons pursue their own purposes, monsters inhabit dangerous territories, and ancient ruins preserve secrets from forgotten ages.

Villages need supplies.

Merchants depend on roads.

Healers treat the wounded.

People work, trade, celebrate, argue, and remember.

Every journey enters a world with a history of its own.

YOUR LIFE IS NOT PREWRITTEN

You are not bound to Frieren’s journey, the pursuit of Aureole, or the fight against demons.

Study magic. Guard a village. Carry letters between settlements. Join an adventuring party. Investigate a ruin. Trade in a northern town. Run an inn, protect a caravan, search for a lost spell, or settle somewhere far from the main roads.

You can travel alongside Frieren, Fern, and Stark, cross paths with other familiar characters, or never meet them at all.

Make allies, earn trust, start rivalries, uncover secrets, or walk away from someone else’s problems. Small decisions can matter just as much as great adventures.

You can become part of a legend — or live a life beyond one.

THE HISTORY BEHIND YOU

The Demon King has been defeated. The ten-year journey of Frieren, Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen belongs to the past, but its legacy remains.

Himmel’s statues and deeds endure. The First-Class Mage Examination has brought new mages into the wider world. The journey toward Aureole continues through regions shaped by old conflicts, forgotten magic, and lives that have moved on since the Hero Party’s adventures.

The road leads through events including the stolen heirloom sword, the island monastery, Himmel’s memoirs, the bridge across Great Canyon Tor, the Schmaal snowfields, and the mysteries surrounding Macht and the Golden Land.

Memories can outlast their witnesses. Records can be incomplete, and the truth behind an old story may be different from what people believe.

Time moves differently for an elf, but the world never stands still.

BEYOND THE MAIN STORY

A merchant can lose a wagon on a dangerous road.

A village may run short of medicine.

A ferryman can refuse to cross a lake before a storm.

A scholar might discover a spell whose purpose has been forgotten.

Not every contract is straightforward.

A client can lie, a witness can be mistaken, and a monster may not be the only danger.

Resolving a problem can leave debts, injuries, damaged property, or consequences that remain long after the reward is collected.

Places have their own character.

Northern settlements struggle with harsh weather and isolation; busy towns depend on trade, work, and local customs.

Food, festivals, faith, and everyday routines reflect the people who live there.

And not every memorable moment requires danger.

A meal after a long walk, a strange little spell, an old statue, or a story told by a local resident can become part of the journey.

Some discoveries change the world. Others change how you see it.
