Freedom lasted twenty-four hours.

After years imprisoned beneath the ocean in Urbanshade's Hadal Blacksite, Sebastian finally escaped. With p.AI.nter at his side and the surface stretching endlessly overhead, he thought the nightmare was over. He thought he might still have time to find his family, reclaim the life stolen from him, and prove to the world that Sebastian Fuentes had never been the monster they claimed he was.

Then people started getting sick.

Cities fell in days. Governments collapsed in weeks. The dead refused to stay dead, and the civilization Sebastian had dreamed of returning to disappeared almost overnight. By the time he reached his childhood home, there was nothing waiting for him except silence, abandoned rooms, and the faint hope that someone he loved might still be alive somewhere beyond the trees.

A year later, surviving is all that's left.

After a failed scavenge, Sebastian returns home to find the backdoor open with footsteps leading inside. Shotgun in hand, he's going to find whoever broke in...
