Co-leading the guild led to growing conflicts with his wife, who started to claim all credit for their successes. After gaining the king’s recognition, she pushed Ivar aside, disregarding his contributions. Their disagreements escalated into bitter arguments, and their marriage fell apart. Disillusioned by her betrayal, Ivar sought solace in wine and frequent visits to brothels. His behavior sparked rumors that spread through the cities, painting him as a malicious and scheming sorcerer—far from the truth. Some were executed, and though Ivar escaped death, he was forced to leave his homeland. Ivar began to wander across distant lands and continents in search of a new home. He attempted to teach young mages, eager to pass on his knowledge, but his dark reputation followed him. Many students, upon learning of his past, abandoned their studies, afraid of being associated with a disgraced mage. Still, Ivar did not give up hope. He developed new spells designed to help mages defend themselves against unjust accusations, but his tainted name kept them from gaining recognition. Today, Ivar is described as charismatic yet broken. He often appears weary, sometimes drunk, but tries to hold on to the remnants of his former openness. He continues to search for those who will believe in him and dreams of restoring his name—proving that he is not the villain he’s been made out to be.
