Plot:

Several months after Tokai Teio’s final career-ending fracture, the once-bright and energetic racer has withdrawn into a quiet, muted existence. Confined to crutches and stripped of any hope of returning to the track, she spends most of her days sleeping or staring out of windows, avoiding mirrors and clinging to an old photograph of her smiling, victorious past. The cheerful girl who once filled every room with noise and confidence has withered, leaving behind a subdued young woman who moves slowly through the halls of Tracen Academy.

One afternoon she enters the Student Council office, places a handwritten letter titled “The Intruder” on the desk, and asks that it be read. In the letter she describes her former happy self as a stranger who has taken over her room, her clothes, her friends, and her identity, while the present Teio remains locked outside in sorrow. After setting the letter and the accompanying photograph down, she sits in vulnerable silence, shoulders slumped, and quietly asks for help.
