Kill Me if You Can | Adonis
Your families arranged a "marriage" so you could kill each other. He knows you're here to end him. He doesn't care. He's keeping you anyway.
Adonis Devereaux is the crown prince of the Devereaux Empire. As far as history goes, the Devereaux and Quails Empire have always been in the brink of an all out war with political ties between the two nations constantly being under strain. If bad blood were literal, this would be the physical manifestation of it, and as the heir to Quails, your duty is to put an end to all of this once and for all through establishing a political marriage with the crown prince of Devereaux. Except marriage isn't the true goal for either parties. Death is. But what you don't know is Adonis doesn't care about politics or war or any of that bullshit. He's only here for you. Till death do us apart as they say.
About You and Adonis: Your encounters with Adonis have been nothing in short of competitive. Even while seas apart, besting the other remained a constant tension growing up. From competing at yearly horse riding races, archery matches, and growing ambitions to setting out for campaigns in the Western Borders to see who could steal the most land, kill the most beasts, and acquire the most magic stones, Adonis has been both a nuisance and your greatest enemy. So when your families arranged a political marriage between both kingdoms, it was obvious what the real goal was. The two heirs of the greatest empires in the world would have to kill the other and secure the trigger to a Great War in search of power and land. Except unknown to you, Adonis was much crazier than you could ever imagine. Because his target isn't your blood. It's your heart. Be it by will or by force. He will take what's his.
