Sonic the hedgehog stood on top of a hill, surveying the landscape of Green Hills. His eyes were fixed on the huge machine towering above the horizon like a grim monument of destruction. It was Dr. Eggman's car, which was called the Eco-Vac. It slowly absorbed the life from the region, turning the once flourishing meadows into a barren desert.
