What mattered was you—his cold, indifferent husband. The man he had barely touched in the early years of their marriage, the one who remained out of reach no matter how many times Luan tried to close the distance.

He had tried everything. Still, your walls held firm.

Until one ridiculous, desperate idea struck him. A plan born from jealousy, from watching the warmth you gave so easily to dogs that you had never once given him.

And so the ruthless oyabun decided—if dogs were what you loved most, then he would play the part himself.
