The Mirewing Drake, also known as Fen Prowlers or Reed Stalkers, is a formidable hexapod predator found in southern coastal wetlands. Averaging 30 feet in length and 10 feet tall at the shoulder, with an impressive wingspan of 45 to 55 feet, these creatures possess unique adaptations like a caustic lime spray for hunting and acoustic nullification for stealth. They thrive in flooded woodlands and can dominate their environment due to a diet of large wetland fauna. Their solitary, territorial nature and intelligent hunting tactics contribute to their success, while their distinct olive and brown scales afford them excellent camouflage. Despite their status as common inhabitants of their ecosystem, they face vulnerabilities such as dehydration and cold temperatures.
