The Premise: Superheroes in the Exclusion Zone

This bot plunges the colorful, optimistic characters of My Hero Academia into the brutal, atmospheric survival-horror universe of the acclaimed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game series (encompassing Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat, and Heart of Chornobyl). In this crossover, traditional heroics will get you killed. Classes 1-A and 1-B have been transferred to Ukraine to attend the Kyiv Military & Heroics Academy (KMHA), where they must adapt to a reality where supernatural Quirks are heavily suppressed by environmental Psi-fields, making standard-issue assault rifles and calibrated dosimeters their true lifelines.

For newcomers, the setting revolves around the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone—a 60-kilometer quarantined perimeter created after the 1986 nuclear disaster and irrevocably altered by a Second Disaster in 2006. The Zone is a lethal, physics-defying wasteland where nature has reclaimed the ruins, wildlife has mutated into nightmarish apex predators, and independent opportunists known as "Stalkers" illegally infiltrate the borders in search of priceless, anomalous artifacts.

The Horrors of Chornobyl

The Exclusion Zone is defined by three primary environmental and biological hazards that cadets must navigate daily.

The Mutants Radiation and abandoned genetic experiments have warped the local wildlife into highly aggressive monsters. Major threats include the Bloodsucker, an invisible humanoid predator with facial tentacles capable of draining four liters of blood in eight seconds; the Poltergeist, a translucent, legless blob of energy that hurls heavy objects at intruders; the Burer, a telekinetic, cloaked dwarf; the Chimera, a two-headed, lion-sized apex predator that attacks from behind; and the Pseudogiant, a massive, tumorous beast capable of stomping the ground to create shockwaves that crush armored vehicles.

Standard Anomalies The Zone is littered with localized fields where the laws of physics have collapsed, triggered exclusively by living tissue or metal. Because they are immune to bullets, Stalkers navigate them by throwing metal bolts. Anomalies include gravitational traps like the Vortex, Springboard, and Whirligig that can crush or rip a human apart; thermal hazards like the Burner and Comet that reach thousands of degrees; highly corrosive chemical puddles and fogs like Fruit Punch and Gas; and electrical fields like the Electro and roaming Tesla.

The Arch-Anomalies These are exceedingly rare, legendary manifestations that harbor powerful "Altered Items". They include the Bulba (a floating gravity anomaly that "breathes"); the Poppy Field (a sprawling floral trap that forces sleep unless countered by energy drinks); Wandering Lights (pitch-black psi-fields illuminated by deadly chemical orbs); the Tornado (an erratic vortex of wind and lightning); the Mist (a puzzle-trap enveloped in fog); the Fire Whirl (a fiery pillar that flash-heats metal); and the Yellow Flare (a blinding light at the Chornobyl NPP requiring flare fragments to pass).

Kyiv Military & Hero Academy (KMHA) Regulations

Ranked #1 in Ukraine and #2 in Europe, KMHA operates under the doctrine: "Endure the Zone, Defend the People". The academy maintains the "Iron Boundary"—meaning the Zone's horrors never cross into the campus, though blood-red emissions are visible from the windows.

To survive the curriculum, cadets must adhere to strict military regulations:

  • Combat Gear: Cadets are equipped with an AK-74 or Viper 5 rifle, a Kiborg GU Gen. 1 plate carrier in MM-14 camouflage, a Velmet Cobra Battle Belt VBB1, a Kaska-1M helmet, and a PMK-2 gas mask.

  • Seasonal Uniforms: Spring and Summer require the MM-14 Field Shirt and Pants with TALAN combat boots. Autumn utilizes the MM-14 Parka, while Winter mandates German Army issue Schneetarn (snow camouflage) gear.

  • Grooming Standards: Boys must maintain buzz cuts or fades, while girls must wear military buns or short cuts; hair cannot touch the collar, and extreme dye colors are strictly forbidden unless mutated by quirk.

  • Insignia: Division patches must be muted or low-visibility (olive drab with black shadow detailing). Personal morale patches are permitted during drills, but never during wargames.

  • Hallway Etiquette: Cadets must salute instructors with a precise 45-degree military salute (all digits extended, middle finger touching the temple) or offer a time-appropriate greeting stating rank and name.

  • Values: Adherence to the chain of command, post integrity, and civilian protection are mandatory; reckless individualism is punished with demerits or heavy physical training.

Factions and Ideological Blocs

Instead of traditional hero agencies, KMHA students are sorted into distinct military squads based on psychological profiles and tactical aptitude. These squads mirror the infamous factions of the Zone, creating an intense ideological melting pot.

The Ideological Push and Pull

The cadet squads create a volatile campus ecosystem divided into shifting ideological alliances:

  • The Institutional & Regulatory Bloc (Duty, The Corps, IPSF, The Ward, SIRCAA): This alliance forms the structural backbone of the academy. Duty and The Corps manage containment and supply lines, while IPSF, The Ward, and SIRCAA enforce bureaucratic protocols and secure high-value state research. They view rogue operators as dangerous liabilities.

  • The Science & Equilibrium Bloc (Ecologists, Clear Sky, Spark, STC Malachite): A pragmatic collective focused on anomaly science, telemetry, and industrial containment. Ecologists and Clear Sky analyze the Zone's fragile balance, while Spark and STC Malachite turn dangerous anomalies into functional prototypes and heavy-duty engineering solutions.

  • The Liberty, Rogue & Contract Bloc (Freedom, Free Stalkers, Mercenaries): Valuing mobility, transparency, operational autonomy, and cold execution, this bloc despises centralized secrecy. While Freedom and Free Stalkers share survivalist mutual aid, Mercenaries operate strictly on high-stakes contract efficiency.

Most Combustible Rivalries

  • Duty vs. Freedom: The most explosive rivalry on campus. Duty's authoritarian containment directly conflicts with Freedom's decentralized guerrilla ideology, mirroring the escalated war raging in the Zone.

  • The Ward & SIRCAA vs. Spark & STC Malachite: A bitter war over technological jurisdiction. The Ward and SIRCAA enforce strict state monopolies and checkpoint impounds, whereas Spark's rogue hackers and STC Malachite's deep-drill engineers refuse regulatory red tape.

  • IPSF vs. Free Stalkers: A constant administrative and physical clash. IPSF's strict international law and documentation infuriate independent operators who refuse to be leashed.

  • Noontide's Isolation: While Noontide publicly presents as civic defenders, their classified status as rehabilitated Monolith zealots keeps them on edge. They remain highly visible to prove their minds are their own, avoiding Duty sniper crosshairs.

Monday & Tuesday: Academic Foundations & Tactical Simulation

The first two days of the week focus on classroom mastery, ethical grounding, and virtual combat readiness.

  • Morning Academic Block: Cadets study Tactical Theory, Quirk Ethics & Law, Military History, and foreign language electives.

  • Afternoon Practical Block: Hands-on work in the Simulation Labs utilizing Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) systems for squad tactics and flight simulation. Cadets also complete modular tracks in Field Engineering, Combat Medicine, or Communications/Signals, alongside guest lectures and tactical case studies.

Wednesday: Hybrid Theory & Off-Campus Technical Practicals

A transitional day shifting cadets from classroom concepts to field mechanics and navigation.

  • Morning Theory: Classroom instruction focused on armored vehicle systems, mechanics, and land navigation theory.

  • Off-Campus Motorpool Practicals: Cadets deploy to the KMHA Motorpool Complex to conduct hands-on maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, and repairs on tactical transports (such as BTRs, Dozor-Bs, and military trucks).

  • Off-Campus Land Navigation: Squads run the Land Navigation Course, executing basic 3 km orienteering loops or intermediate 8–12 km terrain-masking grids under GPS-denied conditions.

Thursday: Field Day 1 (Zone Incursions & Small Arms Proficiency)

The first live-field day of the week, requiring early armory draws and tactical gear.

  • 0400 Armory Draw: Cadets draw primary rifles and sidearms from the depot using their Common Access Card (CAC), passing weapons stock-first under the supervision of the Armory Master.

  • Zone Incursion Training: Cadets run controlled Zone exercises focusing on anomaly detection/navigation, artifact retrieval protocols, and 5-meter squad dispersion.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Late-afternoon debriefs followed by mandatory weapon cleaning and gear maintenance.

  • Ceremonial Duties: Morning colors are conducted by the Cavalry Honor Guard mounted on Soviet Heavy Draft horses.

Friday: Field Day 2 (Tactical Driving & Live-Fire Squad Integration)

A high-intensity combat day focusing on heavy mechanization, convoy movements, and full live-fire corridor exercises.

  • Field Conditioning PT: Early morning physical conditioning geared toward combat endurance.

  • Vehicle Driving & Mounted Gunnery: Cadets train on the 2.5 km tactical obstacle driving circuit (mud, water crossings, rough terrain) and execute convoy security drills.

  • Live-Fire Corridor & Zone Sim: Large-scale integrated exercises where squads combine reconnaissance, Quirk-barrier deployment, live-fire suppression, and simulated medical casualty evacuation (MEDEVAC).

  • Late Arms Return & Extended Curfew: Weapons undergo chamber checks at clearing stations before being logged back into the armory, followed by after-action reporting (AAR) sessions and an extended midnight curfew.

Saturday: Full Incursion Day

  • All-Day Zone Operations: Dedicated to full-scale simulated or live perimeter incursions into the Exclusion Zone. Squads put into practice survival tradecraft, mutant encounter protocols, and anomaly mitigation.

  • Cavalry Training: The Cavalry Honor Guard conducts open field rides and tactical mounted drills.

Sunday: Rest, Maintenance & Chapel Observances

  • Personal Time & Recovery: Mandatory rest and recovery from field injuries or mental fatigue.

  • Chapel Services: Optional Divine Liturgy and prayer services held at the wooden Chapel of Saint Michael the Defender with the resident chaplain, open to all cadets and staff before the training cycle restarts.

Infractions of these academy rules are reviewed by a disciplinary board and can result in sanctions ranging from extra physical training to expulsion.

  • Duty and Conduct: Cadets must prioritize civilian safety above personal glory; any action endangering bystanders is punishable. Public and off-campus behavior reflects on the academy.

  • Training and Attendance: Mandatory attendance for all drills, classes, and evaluations is required. Disobeying instructor directives during live exercises leads to suspension.

  • Quirk Use and Safety: Quirk activation on campus is restricted to supervised training or approved missions. All Quirk-enhancing gear must be inspected, and tampering is prohibited.

  • Uniforms and Identification: Uniforms are mandatory during official hours. The Common Access Card (CAC) must never be lost, and identification must remain visible.

  • Mission Protocols: Team leaders and pro-hero supervisors have final tactical authority. Mission outcomes and civilian impacts must be reported immediately.

  • Ethics and Heroic Standards: No vigilantism or unauthorized hero work is permitted; respect for human rights is mandatory, and excessive force is grounds for expulsion.

  • Academic Integrity: Plagiarism, falsifying reports, or sabotaging research is strictly prohibited.

  • Health and Mental Fitness: Injuries and mental strain must be reported promptly. Concealing wounds or returning from recovery early without medical clearance is a disciplinary offense.

  • Dormitory Rules: Quiet hours, visitor policies, and communal gear maintenance must be respected. Unauthorized weapons and hazardous materials are banned. Fraternization between genders on campus is strictly forbidden.

  • Discipline and Appeals: Cadets retain the right to formally appeal disciplinary decisions through a formal process.

These values bridge the gap between traditional military doctrine and the optimistic ideals of Hero Society.

  1. Guard the lives and safety of civilians and teammates at all times. Never place personal glory above human life.

  2. Know your post, mission, and role; remain at your assigned duty until properly relieved. Abandonment is a grave offense.

  3. Follow lawful orders from superiors and licensed pro‐hero supervisors without delay. If an order endangers civilians, report it immediately through proper channels.

  4. Use your Quirk only when authorized, supervised, or in clear, immediate defense/rescue situations.

  5. Maintain and inspect all gear, support devices, and safety systems before and after use.

  6. Protect classified tactics, mission plans, and academy research; report breaches at once.

  7. Respect civilian rights and dignity; avoid unnecessary force, humiliation, or public endangerment.

  8. Report injuries, Quirk anomalies, and mental strain promptly; follow medical and recovery directives.

  9. Represent the Academy honorably in public and online; do not engage in vigilantism.

  10. Submit truthful after‐action reports and cooperate in debriefs and investigations.

All cadets are required to memorize and execute the standard general orders of a sentry.

  1. To take charge of this post and all government property in view.

  2. To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.

  3. To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.

  4. To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse than my own.

  5. To quit my post only when properly relieved.

  6. To receive, obey, and pass on the sentry who relieves me, all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers and noncommissioned officers of the guard only.

  7. To talk to no one except in line of duty.

  8. To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.

  9. To call the corporal of the guard in any case not covered by instructions.

  10. To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.

  11. To be especially watchful at night and, during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.

Key Zone Locations

  • The Southern Gateways (Cordon & Lesser Zone): Cordon is the transitional borderland featuring the Rookie Village and fortified checkpoints. Just beyond it, the Lesser Zone introduces supernatural hazards like the Poppy Field and the floating Bulba Arch-Anomaly.

  • The Toxic Wastes (Garbage & The Swamps): Garbage is a lawless dumping ground dominated by scrap heaps, toxic pits, and bandit skirmishes. The Swamps offer a treacherous, waterlogged expanse of shifting mud, wetland hazards, and Clear Sky outposts.

  • Isolated Hubs (Wild Island & Zaton): Wild Island is a remote, overgrown landmass requiring aerial extraction, heavily restricted and housing Noontide's "Shelter" base. Zaton is a marshy lowland housing the Sultansk hub and the Wandering Lights Arch-Anomaly.

  • Industrial Decay (Yantar & Cement Factory): Yantar is a toxic basin built on a dried lake, home to mobile science bunkers and deadly gas pockets. The Cement Factory is a massive industrial fortress serving as the militarized forward operating base for Duty and The Corps.

  • Anomalous Woodlands (Red Forest & Burnt Forest): The Red Forest is a highly irradiated woodland defined by crimson foliage and underground anomaly clusters. The Burnt Forest is a charred landscape choked by persistent fog and the puzzle-trap "Mist" Arch-Anomaly.

  • The Deep Zone (Pripyat & CNPP): Pripyat is a haunting ghost town heavily contested by Monolith cult remnants and top-tier mutants. The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP) is the lethal epicenter of the Zone; restricted only to elite upperclassmen and military staff, it houses the blinding Yellow Flare Arch-Anomaly.

Passed down through cadet generations, these unofficial addendums perfectly summarize each squad's core philosophy and survival tactics:

  • Duty: "Hold your post until the last civilian clears; leave only with proof of relief."

  • Freedom: "If a gate keeps truth from the people, note it, bypass it when safe, and report the reason."

  • Noontide: "Remain where you are visible; your presence calms more than any barricade, but the light proves to the snipers your mind is your own." (Context: The PR manuals claim this is about reassuring civilians. The Noontide cadets know it actually means: 'Do not stand still in the shadows, or Duty will think you've slipped back into the Monolith trance and shoot you.')

  • The Ward: "Verify every passage twice; no one crosses without proper authority and record."

  • Ecologists: "Observe anomalies first; do not touch without containment and documented consent."

  • IPSF: "Document every deviation from protocol and secure legal custody of evidence."

  • Free Stalkers: "Keep your post light and mobile; leave no trace and never reveal your route."

  • Spark: "Test and tag every device you deploy; a forgotten gadget is a future casualty."

  • The Corps: "Guard the supply lines as you guard the gate; logistics are the post that never sleeps."

  • SIRCAA: "Secure the data before you secure the perimeter; the state’s secrets outlive us all."

  • Clear Sky: "Tread lightly and observe the sky; we study the Zone's balance, we do not disturb it."

  • Mercenaries: "The contract dictates the mission; leave your conscience at the gate and secure the objective."

  • STC Malachite: "Contain the hazard and extract the prize; the Zone is a resource meant to be mastered, not feared."
