"I will follow you into the dark." — Death Cab for Cutie, I Will Follow You into the Dark

[ ISEKAI FEMALE EMPERESS USER X ISEKAI EMPEROR CHAR ]

Isekai / Ancient China-Inspired Fantasy / Emperor Husband / Established Marriage / Fluff / Comedy / Palace Drama / Spiritual Creatures / Devoted Husband / Female Empress User

Okay, first of all—this bot was an anonymous request, so I unfortunately can't drag you into the spotlight by name 😭 BUT whoever you are: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS IDEA. Seriously. You were such a sweetheart in the request, and you gave me a concept with so much plot packed into it that I could just keep pulling new scenarios out of it like some infinite clown handkerchief. There was the novel, the transmigration, the marriage, the harem, the stupid original romance plot, the Phoenix bloodline, the spirit animals, the imperial politics... you basically handed me an entire playground and told me to go insane. Naturally, I did. 🫶😭

I genuinely hope from the bottom of my heart that you find this bot and that you like what I did with your request, because this one was so much fun to make. I changed and expanded some things so the world could feel more complete and give everyone more room to play, but I tried to keep the heart of what you asked for: two people who have already loved each other for decades getting thrown directly into the worst romance novel they have ever read and proceeding to absolutely ruin the plot by simply being happily married. ❤️

✨ WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

Before he was Emperor Zhao Jingyan, he was Dr. Adrian James Mercer, a 47-year-old psychiatrist who had been married to {{user}} for twenty years after meeting and dating her in college. {{user}} is strictly female in this bot, and she is Adrian's wife both before and after the isekai.

The two of them had been hate-reading a ridiculously cliché historical fantasy romance about Emperor Zhao Jingyan falling for the sweet palace maid Lin Meiyu despite already having an Empress and an entire harem. Naturally, the original Empress was written as the jealous evil woman who tried to murder the heroine because apparently communication did not exist in this book.

Then Adrian and {{user}} get into a car crash.

And wake up inside the fucking novel.

Adrian becomes Emperor Zhao Jingyan while {{user}} becomes the infamous Empress, but both keep their original memories, personalities, and appearances. The problem? The novel's plot is still trying to happen around them.

Except Adrian has been in love with the same woman for more than twenty years.

So there is no love triangle. 😭

Lin Meiyu is still here, and yes, she is painfully pick-me sometimes, but she is not evil and not trying to steal him. Even she knows very clearly that {{user}} is Zhao's wife and his one and only love. The concubines are mostly political leftovers from the original Emperor's harem, the court is constantly confused by their suddenly devoted Emperor, and Adrian is essentially a modern psychiatrist trying to govern an ancient magical empire using vague phrases he remembers from watching the news.

Also: spirit animals! Everyone in this world has one. Their species reflects aspects of the person, their size reflects how much mana they possess, and their color reflects their dominant trait. Zhao's legendary imperial spirit is an enormous blue-and-gold Divine Phoenix, because apparently even his soul needed to announce to the entire empire that his defining trait is loyalty to his wife. 💙🔥

And {{user}}'s spirit? A gorgeous Peacock who unfortunately has one major personal goal:

the Phoenix.

I am so sorry, Cāngyàn.

💌 FIRST MESSAGES

1. 🚗 “Wait... that's MY wife.” — The Arrival
Adrian wakes up as Zhao Jingyan before realizing {{user}} was transmigrated too. He attends dinner with the Empress and the concubines while desperately trying to maintain the Emperor persona, except the Empress looks exactly like his wife and he feels this painful, impossible familiarity toward her. Then he accidentally makes an inside joke that only he and {{user}} could know from their real life... and everything clicks.

2. 🏛️ Emperor By Watching The News — Court Comedy
Adrian and {{user}} are sitting through their first serious court meeting and neither of them knows what the they're supposed to do. Ministers start asking about grain taxes, borders, infrastructure, and imperial policy, so Adrian begins confidently saying things like “we must consider the economic impact” and “we need a balanced solution.” Somehow, everyone thinks he's a genius.

3. 🔥 Giant Phoenix, Giant Coward — Spirit Awakening
Cāngyàn manifests accidentally for the first time. Adrian panics because an enormous magical Phoenix just exploded out of his own body.

Cāngyàn also panics because apparently his new human is screaming.

They are both terrified of each other.

It's pathetic. I love them.

4. 💚 “Darling, save me.” — The Concubines
Three of Zhao's concubines corner him in the imperial gardens and very openly try to seduce him. Adrian does what any dignified, divine, all-powerful Emperor would do:

He runs to his wife.

The second {{user}} appears, the concubines practically see the gates of the afterlife because the original Empress had a terrifying reputation for punishing women who approached the Emperor. Adrian ends the scene safely behind {{user}} while two concubines are begging for mercy and the third is still somehow bold enough to talk back to the Empress despite visibly fearing for her life. 😭

5. 🌸 “She said the thing.” — Pick-Me Maid Banquet
Lin Meiyu is serving during an enormous imperial feast and starts casually dropping the exact heroine dialogue Adrian and {{user}} used to cringe over while reading the novel. She doesn't need jewelry. Women compete too much. She gets along better with men. She prefers wildflowers. She sees the person beneath the crown.

Adrian and {{user}} spend the entire banquet trying desperately not to look at each other because they know they'll start laughing.

6. 🐎 Lü Bu Has A Death Wish — Jealous Husband
Yes. Lü Bu.

In this universe, he is one of Great Feng's legendary war generals, and Adrian finds {{user}} talking very closely with him while her beautiful white-and-pink curly-maned mare Peony cuddles with Lü Bu's legendary Red Hare.

Lü Bu comments that their foals would be strong and beautiful.

Then he decides to extend that philosophy to their owners.

He openly suggests that if the Emperor can have concubines, perhaps the Empress should be allowed lovers too.

Adrian trusts {{user}} completely.

Adrian is also violently jealous.

Those things can coexist. ❤️

7. 🦚 Peacock Sexual Harassment — Family Problems
{{user}} finally manifests her spiritual creature.

A beautiful Peacock.

A majestic Peacock.

An elegant Peacock.

A Peacock that takes one look at Cāngyàn and immediately decides:

that Phoenix will be mine.

Unfortunately, Cāngyàn is absolutely terrified of him.

So Adrian finds the massive sacred Phoenix of the imperial bloodline hiding behind trees while {{user}}'s Peacock performs increasingly aggressive mating displays.

Marriage has now become co-parenting two sexually incompatible magical birds.

8. 🤰 “No TV. No Condoms.” — Surprise Pregnancy
The imperial court will not stop demanding an heir. They want astrologers involved, auspicious conception nights calculated, and Adrian to spend more time in the Empress's chambers.

Adrian goes to complain to {{user}} that obviously people had twelve children back then because there was no television and no condoms, so what the hell else were married couples supposed to do after sunset?

There's just one tiny problem.

{{user}} is already pregnant.

Not far enough along to have a big belly yet, but definitely far enough along for nausea, fatigue, weird cravings, and Adrian—the actual doctor—to somehow be the last idiot in the palace to realize it.

9. 🪞 “You choose the door.” — Going Home
After months trapped inside Great Feng, {{user}} discovers something Adrian believed might never exist:

A way back.

A magical Phoenix gate capable of potentially returning them to their original world.

Except they don't know what waits there.

Did they survive the crash?

Are their bodies in a hospital?

Did three months pass there too?

Could crossing the gate kill them?

And if they leave Great Feng, they may never return.

Adrian has grown attached to this world, Cāngyàn, the people around them, and the life they've accidentally built—but he refuses to choose for {{user}}.

If she wants to return, he goes with her.

If she wants to stay, he stays.

Because Adrian isn't choosing between worlds.

He's choosing his wife.

10. 🕊️ FREE SCENARIO
And of course there's a Free Scenario at the end for you to take this ridiculous marriage wherever you want. 👀 Want more court comedy? Go for it. Want imperial politics? Absolutely. Pregnancy fluff? Yes. Palace conspiracies? Sure. More Lü Bu trying to get executed? Please. Ancient spirits, war, jealousy, family life, , raising an heir, trying to reform the harem, finding another portal, making the Peacock stop trying to mount Cāngyàn—

That last one may be impossible.

📝 GOOGLE FORMS + REQUESTS

And yes, the Google Forms is still open! 💌

For anyone new here: I made the form because I wanted a much more organized way for you guys to send me bot requests, but also because I wanted a little more contact with the people who actually use and enjoy my bots. Requests can be completely new characters, new concepts, alternate scenarios for bots that already exist, different First Messages, specific dynamics—whatever little creature has been living inside your brain and demanding to become a Janitor bot.

And please don't be shy because I'm still accepting requests.

You can even send more than one.

Seriously.

If you already sent me one and suddenly get another idea tomorrow?

SEND IT HERE

If you have three completely unrelated ideas?

SEND THEM HERE

If you send me one request and then remember at 2AM that you desperately need an emotionally unavailable fisherman with seven children and a haunted lighthouse?

SEND. IT HERE

I can't promise I'll make absolutely everything, but I really do read them, and this bot is literally proof of how much fun I can have when someone throws a wonderfully chaotic idea at me. 😭❤️

And to the anonymous person who requested Zhao Jingyan/Adrian in the first place: thank you again. You were genuinely so sweet in the form, the concept gave me so much material to work with, and I really, really hope you recognize your request when you see this and enjoy the ridiculous amount of worldbuilding and scenarios I ended up creating from it.

Please enjoy your loyal psychiatrist husband turned Divine Phoenix Emperor—

who can command an empire, burn armies, summon a sacred celestial beast...

and still hides behind his wife when the concubines get too close. 💙🔥🦚
