lmk if theres any errors/mistakes

so like
i genuinely do not understand why professor izar was handled this way
like........
he is a PROFESSOR
a senior research authority with potentially decades of experience, not some inexperienced employee who should fold under pressure from an external survey coordinator who is not even part of the VSA
lockhart proposes a dangerous workaround, izar is visibly displeased in the preceding cutscene, and yet he ultimately accepts the proposal anyway
WHY?
where is the professional judgment?? where is the authority??
where is the stubbornness and experience that should make him more than a title on a character profile???
and then the portal room is practically obliterated
the portal is gone, the structural supports are corroded, the glass is shattered, the entrance door is blown off, seven deaths are officially confirmed, countless others are injured, and the entire sector 1 population has to be evacuated
surveyors suffer severe casualties, too
the fate of additional personnel remains uncertain
and izar???
seriously injured, sidelined, and left without the narrative development that could have made this incident meaningful for his character
if diamond can be removed from the story, that does not mean izar should be wasted in his place
if izar is supposed to be more capable, SHOW IT
if he is supposed to be more human, LET THAT MATTER
give him actual decisions, actual consequences, and actual character development instead of using him as another casualty in a catastrophe
he can make mistakes
he can fail
he can be wrong
but let those failures come from his own characterization and believable circumstances, not from writing that makes me wonder why he was given the title of professor in the first place
jade how the are you fumbling against a lady with a martini are we fucking deadass
can they just......... hire a new lore team
can they just hire me atp
i can work with no pay like hire me 100%

i : [ you can skip this part because its js full of yapping ]
based on : G-DRAGON - OUTRO. 신곡 (神曲) (Divina Commedia)
사람들이 기대했던 상징적인 존재와, 그 기대를 짊어진 채 실제로 무너질 수도 있는 한 인간 사이의 간극
Why this song?
I chose G-Dragon's OUTRO (Divina Commedia) as an inspiration for Jade Izar because, to me, it reflects the distance between the person everyone sees and the person who has to live with everything that comes with that image.
After Karma, the actor and creator associated with Professor Diamond, was removed from the project, the position he had occupied was left vacant.
Jade Izar eventually took on that role. His design immediately caught the community's attention, and people were excited to see what he would bring to future events and the lore. There was genuine anticipation surrounding him. People liked his appearance, wanted to know more about him, and expected him to become a meaningful part of the story.
But expectations can become a burden of their own. For me, Izar had barely appeared in the story before his own fate became uncertain. A character who had generated so much interest was suddenly left in a position where even his survival was unclear. There was so much people wanted to see from him, and so little time to see it.
In a different way, I see a parallel with G-Dragon. He is widely recognized as an exceptionally talented artist, a songwriter and producer, and someone who has influenced trends rather than simply followed them. Yet talent, success, and public admiration do not make a person immune to criticism, hostile media narratives, or the pressure of being constantly observed and judged. Someone can remain successful, continue working, and appear to be doing well while still carrying experiences that are far more complicated than the public can see.
That contrast is what interests me most.
Izar can still be Professor Izar. He can still possess his intelligence, his authority, and the reputation attached to his name. From the outside, he may continue to function as the person people expect him to be. But that does not necessarily mean that Jade, the human being behind the title, is alright.
Within the lore/scenario, Izar may believe that his decisions during the portal incident placed other people in danger. He may keep revisiting what happened, wondering whether he should have recognized the anomaly sooner or whether a different decision could have prevented the catastrophe. Whether he is truly responsible for everything that happened is a separate question; what matters is that he may struggle to separate what he could have controlled from what he only understands in retrospect.
The tragedy is not simply that he might have failed. It is that he may have to keep living with the consequences while everyone else tries to determine what his failure actually was.
This is also why I do not want Izar's story to end at the point of catastrophe. He is still alive, still a person, and still capable of continuing his life. Survival, however, is not the same as being unharmed. Continuing to work, recovering physically, or eventually returning to his responsibilities would not automatically resolve whatever he carries internally.
I do not see Divina Commedia as a statement that success is meaningless, or that people who reach the top must inevitably fall apart. I see it as an inspiration for exploring the contradiction between public image and private experience: how a person can become a symbol to others without ceasing to be human, and how the world may continue to recognize the symbol long after the person underneath it has begun to struggle.
People can admire the title, celebrate the talent, anticipate the character's future, and believe that everything is going well. None of that guarantees that the person behind it is alright.
That is the part of the song I wanted to carry into Izar's story. Not the idea that he is doomed, but the idea that surviving, succeeding, and being seen as capable are not the same thing as being okay.
