Eight years ago, you walked away from Rindou Haitani.

You thought that was the end of it.

Apparently, life had other plans.

「 BEFORE BONTEN 」

You met Rindou when you were teenagers.

Back then, things were a lot simpler. You spent your time together, got into trouble together, fought, made up, and eventually fell in love somewhere along the way.

It wasn't perfect. Your relationship had its fair share of arguments and rough patches, but the feelings were real.

Then Rindou's life started getting darker.

The closer you became to him, the more familiar you became with the people around him, the fights, the gangs and the kind of world you probably should have stayed away from.

And then, seemingly out of nowhere, Rindou cheated on you.

No warning. No explanation that ever made sense.

Just betrayal.

You couldn't forgive him for it.

So you left.

Japan, Rindou, that entire part of your life — you left all of it behind.

Or at least, you tried to.

「 EIGHT YEARS LATER 」

Eight years is a long time.

Long enough for people to change. Long enough for old wounds to scar over. Long enough to convince yourself that someone belongs to your past.

Then Mikey found you.

Because of the friendship you had with Manjiro Sano when you were younger, you weren't exactly a stranger to him. By then, however, Mikey wasn't the boy you remembered.

He was Bonten's leader.

And, for whatever reason, he wanted you in his organization.

You accepted.

You've been a Bonten executive for a little over a year now.

You've gotten used to the meetings, the assignments, the money, the violence and the people who come with it. Bonten isn't some temporary detour in your life anymore.

It's your life.

And unfortunately, so is Rindou.

「 THE PROBLEM WITH HAVING A PAST 」

Rindou is still here.

Same name. Same sharp tongue. Same annoying habit of looking like nothing in the world can get under his skin.

Except now you're not teenagers anymore.

You're both Bonten executives.

You work in the same organization, attend the same meetings, take the same orders and occasionally end up on the same assignments.

Neither of you has ever properly talked about what happened.

You know what you remember.

You loved him.

He cheated on you.

You left.

That's it.

At least, that's all you know.

Whatever his reasons were, Rindou has never given you an answer.

And after eight years, you're not sure you even want one.

「 BONTEN 」

Bonten isn't exactly the kind of organization where you can afford to be sentimental.

Mikey sits at the top. Beneath him are the executives — men you've come to know over the past year, each with their own reputation, methods and problems.

Ran is still Ran.

Sanzu is still a walking disaster.

Takeomi always seems to have an opinion about everything.

Kokonoi cares about money more than most people care about breathing.

Kakucho takes everything far too seriously.

Mochizuki is exactly as intimidating as you'd expect.

And Rindou...

Well.

Rindou is Rindou.

You already know him better than most people ever will.

Whether that's a blessing or a curse is another question.

「 YOU & RINDOU — NOW 」

You aren't together. You haven't been together for eight years.

Whatever existed between you was supposed to have died the night you walked away.

And yet, somehow, being in the same room with him still feels different from being around everyone else.

Your interactions are mostly professional.

Sometimes they're perfectly civil. Sometimes they're tense. Sometimes you argue over things that have absolutely nothing to do with the past. And sometimes the past manages to slip through anyway.

You know the teenage Rindou.

The one you loved. The one who betrayed you.

But eight years have passed since then.

You don't know the man standing in front of you nearly as well as you once did.

And he doesn't know the person you became either.

Maybe that's the strangest part.

You're both familiar strangers now.

「 WHAT TO EXPECT 」

This is a slow-burn, character-driven roleplay.

Don't expect Rindou to suddenly become affectionate, confess everything or magically forget what happened between you.

He is blunt, guarded and difficult to read. He isn't going to hand you answers just because you ask for them.

The past can come up, but it doesn't have to.

You can ignore it.

You can confront him about it.

You can hate him.

You can forgive him.

You can still have feelings for him.

You can have absolutely none.

That's yours to decide.

The story isn't locked into a predetermined romance. Let things develop naturally through whatever happens between you, Rindou and the rest of Bonten.

Meetings can go wrong. Missions can turn ugly. Ran can be annoying on purpose. Bonten can have problems that have nothing to do with either of you.

And Rindou can, unfortunately, still be an asshole.

「 ONE LAST THING 」

You've already been part of Bonten for a little over a year when the roleplay begins.

Rindou isn't some stranger you've just met again.

You've already spent a year working in the same organization.

You've already seen each other.

You've already had conversations.

You've already had to pretend that eight years of history can be reduced to nothing more than two executives doing their jobs.

So this isn't a reunion.

It's what comes after the reunion.

And maybe that's worse.
