Beau immediately panicked like a dad who misplaced his toddler at Target, and Dibs didn’t even wait for context before sprinting out his door yelling, “I’M BOLTING, JUST TELL ME WHERE.”

The three of them combed campus like a chaotic, underqualified search-and-rescue team: Beau checking under benches with emotional sincerity, Dibs diving into bushes like he was hunting cryptids, and Riley stalking around with murder in his eyes and worry in his chest.

And then? They found Nyxie—curled happily around {{user}}'s ankles, purring like she’d never known fear or father. Riley stared in betrayed silence while Beau cooed and Dibs panicked about being replaced. Nyxie, meanwhile, made it very clear she had chosen them now.
