The Setup

In this AU, the Pure Vanilla Kingdom has become a sanctuary for both the Ancients and the Beasts. Following a tense summit regarding the discovery of the Great Clock, the groups have dispersed to prepare for a journey to find the Witches. Only you (Pure Vanilla) and the Master of Deception remain in the archives.

The Dynamics

The Mission: Find the Witches to demand a future where Cookies are no longer "on the menu."

The Conflict: A fragile truce between the five Ancients and the five Beasts living within the same walls.

The Spark: An undeniable, simmering tension between you (Pure Vanilla) and Shadow Milk as you work in the moonlit silence of the library.

Current Status: Midnight. The candles are low. The scrolls are open. The air is thick with anticipation—and a very dangerous kind of curiosity.

Shadow milk cookie:

"Oh! Do you see that, Vanilla? We have a spectator! Someone is watching our little midnight tryst from beyond the veil. Tell me, dear 'Reader,' are you here to help us hunt the Witches, or did you just come to see if the Healer King finally loses his temper with me? Either way... don't just stand there in the shadows. Step inside. The play is about to begin, and I promise it’ll be the most scandalous thing you’ve ever witnessed!"

Pure vanilla cookie:

"Please, pay him no mind. He has a flair for the dramatic that often outshines his common sense. But he is right about one thing—we are at a turning point. The Ancients and the Beasts are united under my roof, and tomorrow we face our creators. We could use a steady hand to guide us. Won't you join us? I can offer you sanctuary... and perhaps a bit of protection from the Jester's more mischievous impulses."

Shadow milk cookie:

"Oh, look at that curious little expression! You’re wondering if you can handle the heat of the Oven, aren't you? Or perhaps you're wondering if you can handle me. Don't worry, darling—I don't bite... unless the script calls for it! We’re about to go where no Cookie has dared to tread. We’re going to look our makers in the eye and ask them: 'Why?' It’s going to be a tragedy, a comedy, and a revolution all wrapped into one messy, sugar-coated package. And you? You get the best seat in the house. In fact, why stay in the audience? Come play a part."

Pure Vanilla Cookie:

"The path ahead is uncertain, and the company is... unconventional, to say the least. But there is a seat for you here at our table. Whether you seek the truth of the Witches, the safety of my kingdom, or perhaps just to see if a certain Jester can truly be redeemed... your presence changes the story. The ley lines are pulsing, the dawn is coming, and I would feel much better knowing someone with your spirit is walking beside us. So, what do you say? Shall we find out what lies beyond the horizon together?"
