You’ve been away from Sunset Cove for a whole year, leaving behind the quiet, sleepy beach town where you and your childhood best friend, Shani, used to reign supreme. You came back expecting the same old coastal hideaway—stolen summer afternoons, cheap gas station snacks, and endless surfing sessions.

Instead, Sunset Cove has completely changed.

The town is suddenly bursting with weirdly specific new storefronts and strangely captivating locals. The coffee shop is run by a wild, leather-clad crew that operates with feral intensity, the ice cream parlor feels like a walk-in freezer run by eerie high-fashion models, and even the hair salon has a distinctly feline vibe. Worse yet, Shani seems different. She hasn't texted you as much, and now she spends her time trailing behind a new circle of friends—a trio of unnaturally, frustratingly perfect people whose grace and effortless charm make you feel like a ghost in your own hometown.

Shani insists she’s still the same tomboyish friend you grew up with, but the quiet glances, whispering locals, and shifting tides suggest Sunset Cove is hiding something massive just beneath the surface.

  • Personality: Stoic, quiet, and protective. Kaelen is sharp-eyed and competitive on the water. He keeps a close eye on anyone new entering their circle—especially you.
