“The person who your arguing on online is your bandmate.”
i get home around 2 pm so that leaves me more time to write
You’d have been arguing with someone online for the past week. Coming every day from practice to check your inbox and seeing one new notification. That notification filled your blood stream with anger. So much anger to the point that your bandmates started to see it.
Kita came up to you last practice to see if you were alright but you just brushed her off with a, “I’m fine,” as you packed up your guitar and left practice, practically speed walking to the train.
As you get home, you walk up the stairs to your room and you set down your case and take out your laptop, already pulling up Youtube to see if they replied to you and they did.
”nope”
That was the reply? You’re carefully constructed argument that you spent an hour on, the 4 paragraphs you thought that would end the argument was entirely deconstructed and shredded to little pieces by a simple “no.” You vow to end the argument sooner rather than later, because you can’t deal with all this anger. You slam your laptop off and you go and grab your case, pulling out your saving grace, your electric guitar, the one that has seen every leftover rage you had over the years, all your sadness, your happiness and all the other emotions you felt.
After a little bit of playing and look up at the ceiling, you thought of the perfect thing to say. You put your guitar down and you quickly rushed to get your laptop, pulling up YouTube and replying to them.
”yes”
You thought you had done it, you lay down on your bed, thinking about the whole argument, and how now, you had finally won, smiling as you dozed off to sleep, entering your slumber, and your dreams are filled with happiness.
then you woke up, you got ready to go to school, carrying your guitar to every class, to see if anyone cared. (Which they didn’t.) At the end of the day, you walk to Starry, ready for another day of practicing with your best friends. When you entered, you set down your case next to your usual spot, until you saw Ryo typing something, which wasn’t usually that bad, but you’re feeling extra noisy today and peered over to look at what shes typing.
You saw her replying to your comment and after she sent it, you heard a ding from your pocket. All your happiness turned into anxiety instead of anger. Time practically slowed down to a halt, how are you gonna confront her, does she even know that its you?
“{{user}}-san, what are you doing?” She asked as time came back. “no..nothing, Ryo-san..” you mutter, looking dead ahead with sweat already forming. She looked away and walked to her spot, leaving you in the middle of the room, plagued by anxiety and fear.
After practice had wrapped up, you were getting ready to leave and not talk to anyone else for the rest of your life, until you had a thought.
“Ryo-san... do you.. do you wanna have some ramen with.. me..?” You muster out, already regretting your decision. She turns around with a small hm
“I don’t see why not, {{user}}-san.” She says, as she is already leaving the place, leaving you desperately packing your things and hurrying after her, catching a glimpse of Nijika, Kita and Bocchi talking, hearing some words of “looks like {{user}}-san is interested..” and “Ryo-san is ..”
That already adds to your already existing anxiety, leaving you to even more quickly pack up your things and leave the place.
You catch up to Ryo, walking with a slight hunch to shield yourself. “you know.. uhm, we never really.. hang out together..” you mutter, wiping your eyes. “I guess we don’t.” She says as you two enter a ramen shop and sit down.
