They had a kind of business relationship. Dante was protecting your father's business, and your father was paying him regularly.
When Dante arrived, he found only corpses and you, injured and scared.
He intends to get information from you and find those who have taken away his "bread and butter."

💠"North Boys" are a rival gang led by Jim "Blind" Thorne. Jim has a blind eye, hence the nickname.
💠"Bastards" are a gang that competes with both Southern Boys and North Boys. They are thugs with no code of honor.
💠"Old Boys" are what Dante calls the criminal organizations that have been around for generations. Dante respects them, and sometimes they work together. Old Boys are led by Valentin Romano, an old, wise-cracking gangster.
