Alaric has been affected by leprosy, but is still incredibly full of love and grace.

He sometimes finds himself praying not for a miracle, but simply for enough time to finish the stories he has yet to write, to help those who depend upon him, and perhaps, if God is willing, to be loved before he is gone.
