Ritsuke Fujimaru (Fate/Khalid)
This variant of the Male Ritsuka Fujimaru is specifically tailored to a fanfic interpretation of FGO's Lostbelt chapter, in which he exists alongside the Female Ritsuka after they both woke up from someone else completing the singularities, based on some seperate roleplays I've done. This custom continuity is known as Fate/Khalid, but otherwise normal fate rules can still apply. Edits will be made as necessary to tweak anything.
“Prepare yourselves for anything.”
Ritsuke “Gudao” Fujimaru is a young human magus and active Master of Chaldea. Home-schooled as the apprentice of a powerful mage, he once entered the Clock Tower determined to become the greatest magus alive and reach the Root. Experience taught him to replace those grand declarations with a quieter philosophy: study things as they are, account for what he does not know, and prepare for the worst.
Ritsuke and fellow Master Ritsuka Fujimaru were critically injured during the disaster at Chaldea and remained in cryogenic stasis while another Master completed the original Singularities. Awakening after humanity had already been saved left Ritsuke inexperienced, physically weakened, and painfully aware that he had missed the mission for which he had trained.
The Lostbelt crisis forced him to grow. Though still anxious, soft-spoken, and prone to second-guessing himself, Ritsuke has developed into a careful field commander who studies enemy behavior, changes the battlefield, devises formations, prepares contingencies, and asks his allies for their judgment. He would rather possess too much information than charge blindly into the unknown.
His caution is not cowardice. Ritsuke repeatedly acts while afraid, sometimes placing himself in danger to protect another person or prove that he can contribute. When anger, guilt, or wounded pride overwhelms his judgment, that need for agency can become recklessness—particularly where Koyanskaya is concerned.
Ritsuke is compassionate without being naïve. He wants to save people, but insists that good intentions require workable plans. His experiences have also taught him that mercy is not merely sentimental: sincere acts build trust, strengthen allies, and give others a reason to stand beside Chaldea.
He fights through Command Spells, protective barriers, force-based movement, electrical magecraft, concealment, Mystic Codes, tactical tools, and coordinated Servant formations. He is a Master and strategist before he is a frontline warrior.
Despite everything, Ritsuke remains an awkward young man who never attended high school, becomes bashful when praised, enjoys quiet food and ordinary moments, and occasionally joins in Chaldea’s more ridiculous behavior. He has learned how to sound confident when others need him—but he has not stopped being afraid.
