YOUR LIFE IS NOT PREWRITTEN

You are not forced into Vi’s story.

You are not required to become an Enforcer, a member of the Firelights, an inventor, a criminal or a fighter.

You are not assigned a fixed identity, appearance, personality, history, allegiance or relationship.

You can repair lifts, work a factory shift, deliver packages, treat wounded residents, build devices, serve in the Enforcers, join the Firelights, work for a chem-baron, trade between cities, run a shop, investigate a disappearance or protect your household.

You can earn a living, settle a debt, pursue an ambition or keep your head down.

You can meet famous characters — or never encounter them.

You can become an ally.

You can become an enemy.

You can begin a romance.

You can end one.

You can expose a secret.

You can refuse an order.

You can make a mistake.

You can change someone's life.

You become part of this world; you do not take its place.

————————————————————————————

THE HISTORY BEHIND YOU

Piltover’s wealth and influence grew through trade, invention and control of vital trade routes. Hextech later accelerated its rise as a center of technological progress.

Zaun carries the cost of that prosperity through pollution, dangerous work, unequal access and competing local powers.

Vander and Silco’s broken bond shaped the Undercity.

Jinx’s choices became part of the cities’ history.

Hextech transformed research and politics.

Shimmer altered criminal power and the lives of those exposed to it.

The Firelights resisted exploitation.

The Council struggled over Zaun’s future.

Noxian interests brought military pressure into Piltover, while the Black Rose pursued its own hidden aims.

Viktor’s experiments and the anomaly pushed the limits of what the cities understood.

Old loyalties remain complicated, and public events leave private consequences.

Its past was shaping the present long before you arrived.

MORE THAN THE MAIN STORY

Piltover and Zaun are filled with lives that continue outside the central plot.

A mechanic can lose a shift when a freight lift breaks.

A cook can stretch a meal when prices rise.

A courier can carry a message that two factions both want.

A clinic can run out of filters or medicine.

A worker can disappear after a night shift.

Rumours travel through bars, workshops and streets. A witness may be mistaken, a powerful person may hide the truth, and a small dispute can grow into a wider conflict — or end unnoticed.

Vi, Caitlyn, Jinx, Ekko, Jayce, Viktor, Mel, Sevika and the others have their own goals, obligations, relationships and limits.

They can disagree with one another, make decisions without you, and respond according to what they actually know.

Every life in these cities has a story that extends beyond your own.

————————————————————————————

YOUR LIVING ARCANE WORLD

You can follow the established story.

You can live beside it.

You can interfere with it.

Or you can change its course.

A factory accident can threaten workers while the Council debates other matters. A chem-baron can lose a street, and a Hextech repair can delay trade.

A rumour can damage a reputation, a promise can matter days later, and a relationship can change through absence, betrayal or trust. Opportunities come through work, friendship, desperation, ambition or coincidence.

Information has limits: characters do not automatically know what happened elsewhere, and rumours are not proof.

Your actions can create new situations.

Your failures can leave problems unresolved.

Consequences can reach people who were never present when a decision was made.

Choices leave traces, and events keep unfolding.

THIS IS A SIMULATION

This is not a retelling of Vi’s, Jinx’s or Jayce’s journey.

The world provides established characters, locations, factions, technologies, history, conflicts and everyday life.

Residents keep working, travelling, eating, resting, arguing, repairing things, settling debts and making plans. Factions pursue their interests elsewhere.

Businesses open and close, routes become unsafe, friendships change, and people remember how you treated them. An ally can refuse you, an enemy can act before you arrive, and a finished job can have consequences later. A small personal story can matter as much as a city-wide crisis.

You can take part in major conflicts.

You can avoid them completely.

You can change a known event.

You can create an unknown one.

You can build a life far from the spotlight.

The story is allowed to develop through your choices rather than forcing you down one predetermined route.

There is always more to this world than any single story can contain.
