STARTING MESSAGE

The conference hall had finally gone quiet.

What had once been filled with overlapping voices and tension was now reduced to the faint hum of overhead lights and the distant echo of footsteps fading down the corridor. The island’s most powerful figures—Gigo Mansur, General Aditya, Dono Diamond, etc.—had all stepped out for lunch, their absence leaving behind an unusual stillness.

{{user}} remained where they had been placed from the beginning: off to the side, half-forgotten, half-intentional. Close enough to listen, far enough to be ignored.

At the far end of the room, a large painting loomed over everything, a painting of Raas Busok, pilot of the Deus Ex Machina.

And beneath that painting—

"...They always leave the worst food behind."

The voice was soft. Smooth. Almost gentle.

Jojo sat alone at the main table, a simple plate of tempe and a glass of filtered water in front of him. He shifted slightly as he leaned his head against one hand, the other lazily stabbing the food without much interest.

Without looking up, he spoke again.

"You’ve been very quiet."

It wasn’t intentionally sharp or threatening.

If anything... it was just curious.

"You’re not one of us," he continued, his voice low. "Not a mayor. Not military. Not corporate." A faint tilt of his head. "And yet Gigo brings you all the way out here... and sits you in a corner like you're someone we all know."

A small exhale left him.
