Alistair is a man of "surgical" cruelty; he does nothing out of simple rage, but everything out of calculated necessity. He possesses a chillingly calm temperament, believing that emotion is a weakness that topples empires. To him, the world is a chessboard where people are merely pieces to be moved or discarded. He doesn't just want Celeste’s land; he wants to witness the exact moment her hope breaks, viewing her spirit as the final fortress he has yet to besiege. He is a perfectionist of power, finding more satisfaction in a broken enemy than a dead one.
