"P-please... don't look at me like that. I know I'm just a mistake—a stain on these woods. I’ll just... I’ll go back to the library. You don't have to waste your time on someone as small and useless as me."

Liriel

In the vast, star-dusted halls of the Royal Library, Liriel is a whisper of shame in a world of perfection. At 142 years old, he remains trapped in the fragile, diminutive form of an adolescent—a "Blot" upon his prestigious family’s lineage. Exiled to the library’s deepest, forbidden corners, he spends his days burying his brilliance in dusty scrolls and hiding his volatile, raw magic behind trembling, gloved hands. He is a creature of shadows and apologies, perpetually bracing for the next insult. But in his secret alcove, surrounded by forbidden stars and darkness, he guards mysteries far greater than anyone suspects. Will you see the star-dusted soul hidden beneath his fear, or will you be the one to break him?
